"Great Hotel if you can afford it!"
Overall this is a great hotel.I'm pretty sure the other posts have covered everything so I will be quick and just add a few pictures, because I noticed there aren't any!!!
So,rooms great!Excellent view! Probably the most impressive breakfast I have ever had!! Excellent service apart form the fact the our card stopped working everyday when we came back and we had to ran back down again!! The only thing for me is that it is a bit far away form the center not as a distance but Istanbul has unbelievable traffic and we spend hours on the road trying to get back and forth! So next time I would probably stay somewhere more central but this is just my personal view!
It is still an excellent hotel!!!

"Highly recommended"
Have stayed at Ciragan Palace a few times and it is always a pleasure to be at the hotel. The view from the Bosphorus view rooms is simply the best that Istanbul has to offer. Service and attention to detail is first rate. Even though most of the times I've been there has been on business, the hotel always brings a smile to my face and makes the trip a little bit more enjoyable.

"Thoughtful Hotel"
Just returned from a week at the Ciragan Palace and what a delight it has been. Ciragan Palace is not a reasonably priced hotel by any standards, but you soon realise why. The one thing we can say is that all its staff has been trained to be THOUGHTFUL HOSTS. And we felt like guests. On the second night, housekeeping noted our pattern of pillow use, and arranged them just so each night. Also there were more thoughtful gestures like laying out our sleeping suits, giving our family upgrades of rooms so we could all be on the same floor. Unfortunately, at this time of the year the outdoor pool was closed, and so was the Palace Building for renovation- so we were not able to engage in the space as much as we liked. The rooms are not in the Palace, but in a building next door. Being on the Bosphorous makes this a very special place with views that are your own.
The Park View rooms have a view of the road outside, which is not really great, but then you pay a lower price for them. The sea view rooms are wonderful. If you are visiting Istanbul for the first time, then you will not be spending much time in the hotel since there is so much sight seeing to do- so you should think about the prices. The hotel is close to Ortakoy, a local hangout with great food. Expect to see local and international glitterati at the hotel, and enjoy it- if that's your thing. Room Service was quite expensive. $12 for a cup of tea!!! But still, you realise that you are in a surrounding that is unique, and filled with heritage, not your usual 5 star hotel. You are treated like a guest, not a number to fill the rooms.
So, highly recommended. I can imagine that in the summer this place would be even more of a dream.
