"I enjoyed my stay."
I stayed there for 3 weeks with my husband on a business trip. I think the hotel and staff have really changed and improved much. There were some problems with check-in and payment processes due to lack of experience and training of the staff, but they were really helpful and courteous, which compensated for what they lack, and they displayed a measure of professionalism. Even when we needed other assistance, like getting a cab, finding direction and getting certain phone numbers, the staff willingly helped out till we got all we needed. We were very satisfied with their service. I guess they must have taken previous guests' complaints seriously, the way they did take our complaint seriously when their house-keeping staff didn't clean the room despite having been reminded.
The room and bathroom are indeed tiny, it's strictly for two, and even then you can hardly move. But they're clean, and new! So I suppose a renovation and an upgrading work must have taken place recently. The hot shower did fail to function properly on one or two occasions, but it wasn't that bad.
The TV channels are still as bad, poor reception and there's literally NOTHING to watch, but if you're out whole day and only come back to sleep, no problem then.
The breakfast is still good -- plenty of choices to suit different taste buds, but some food can taste quite bland. You can enjoy many others, though. The dining area is cozy and spacious.
As stated by others, the one thing wonderful is that it's directly connected to a huge shopping mall, where you can find everything you want and need, and there's a train station connected to the mall (also a shuttle bus provided) to take you to other tourist destination. It's so convenient.
Since the hotel has over 600 rooms, the rooms are so close to one another that you can quite hear the noise from other rooms, esp. at night, and esp. if you have inconsiderate neighbors, it can really spoil a good night's rest, as a friend experienced. But fortunately during my stay I didn't really have much of such disturbance, other than the sound of machine and knocking noise coming from the still-ongoing upgrading work. Suppose the rooms are even better now? It's your turn to tell us.
