"Loved Budapest Excellent Hotel"
We have been to this hotel on New Year's Eve till 6th January, It is very central just round the corner to the famous street Vaci Ucta, 5 mins from metro station, buses just n front and is very safe at night. Breakfast is extensive with a big choice and is served in the Prince Matyas beautiful decor. Also rooms are clean and with a beautiful view of elisabeth bridge,buda castle and citadella. The danube is 2 mins away across the road. Staff are so helpfull giving out maps and directions. Definetely worth it!!

"Great hotel"
Just stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I really can't understand why it's not higher in the rankings as in my opinion it's a great place to stay. I had a room with a view of the Danube. The room itself was warm and comfortable. The shower stayed warm and at the same temp' all the time which can't be said of all hotel showers!
The breakfast was in a fantastic restaurant room, and the choice of food was so amazing and fresh. I will certainly stay here agin as the price and location make it a good choice. I also hope to see it higher up in the rankings where it belongs.

"Great Hotel"
Hotel City Matyas is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. (In fact the whole of Budapest was scrupiously clean.) The rooms were huge, the beds were comfatable & the showers good. The service was excellant, the location amazingly central and food reasonable. Hotel entrance is small & you have to climb alot of stairs but this is down to the conversion of a very old building & the character certainly makes up for it. Value for money is excellant and we would definately stay there again. Can not recommend enough.
