Good stay, nice hotel near the port, and very central |

"great budget hotel!"
We had a pleasure to stay at this nice hotel during our recent visit to Tallinn, Estonia. The place is very clean, friendly and nicely decorated with music business themes. (Posters for rock stars in each room and hallway etc.) The staff was pleasant and very helpful. You can't go wrong on the complementary breakfast! There is something for everyone and it's fresh and hot if you need it. The biggest impression for us was the lobby. It's spacious, bright and has plenty of room to rest and kick back after the long trip. The bar is fully equipped with the friendly atmosphere. The best part is the background music! They play all 80's rock and disco hits! I wish the Hotel Soundtrack were available to buy J. The old town is located within 15-20 min of walking distance. Not the best if you don't like to walk, but for those who don't mind it's a chance to walk along the piers and check out the big ferry ships!
I recommend this place especially if you are young or don’t require much service. The rooms are big enough for 3-4 people. Each has a TV, clean and spacious bathroom, and clean bed. At least that is all we needed. For those who need Internet – no problem! The hotel lobby has a free connection and you can stay in touch with your friends.

"Best value for money"
Stayed at the Portus hotel during November 2005 for 4 nights.
The hotel is located in the port of Tallinn and is about 1 km away from the city center and the old town.
Very clean, with spacious rooms, extremely safe, and with an excellent breakfast.
The stuff was very helpful but their knowledge of the English language is not very good.
The hotel has a feeling of the seventies and its walls are covered with big posters of Rock stars.
In general is a best value for money hotel as it has all the facilities and the price is low.
If i return to Tallinn i would prefer to stay in a hotel in the center of the old city. Not because that the Portus is not good but because i hate walking!!!
A small advice to all travelers.
Visit this magnificent town now before the mass tourism destroys it. It is an amazingly beautiful city.
And do not forget to have a meal at the restaurant Olde Hansa. It is an experience of a life time!

"PLeasant stay"
We were for one night at the saku rock.
The hotel is a bit far from the centre (1 km) in the harbour array, just in front of the D Terminal. The bus stop for the bus line no 2 to the airport is in front of the hostel.
The hotel is new and very clean. Room are confortable with atypical and a little eccentric decoration.
We were offering a beer at the bar. Also there is a nice pizza restaurant.
People is friendly and speak english.
