A great hotel at a great price
The staff and service were excellent, the room cozy and comfortable with a good mattress. The Claridge is only two blocks from the La Florida shopping area, and Puerto Madero is within walking distance. The restaurant really is outstanding. We ate dinner there one night just because we were too tired after a day of sightseeing to go out again, but it was so good we went back twice more during our week-long stay!

Great Value
Very safe and elegant hotel. The staff, although many did not speak or understand English, were courteous and helpfull. Entertainment, shopping, dinning all within walking distance. There is a swimming pool on the roof, very nice, two floors of lounge chairs, very hot sun in February. There is also a gym and restaurant located in the pool area. We stayed for three weeks and met people from all over the world. Most were on business trips. Our biggest problem in Buenos Aires was finding out the hard way that most people leave the city on the weekends. This leaving the city streets almost empty. We were robbed by a taxi driver, he did not use a gun or knife. He pulled over about two blocks before the Claridge and demanded money. I was sitting behind the driver and my door would not open, after he cleaned out my husbands wallet we bolted out of the car, he drove off. We told the hotel, they were helpfull, but said that we should have used one of their drivers!!! They told us never to hail a taxi on the streets!!! We will go back, but will use a driver from the hotel. You can hire a driver to take you around all day or night for next to nothing. We hired one of their drivers to take us back to the airport when we left.

Excellent Cuisine
Quite surely one of the best places to eat out in Buenos Aires. Breakfast (included in room price) is all including; cerials, juices, tarts, rolls, sweet rolls, cakes, cold cuts. eggs, bacon, different hot dishes, and hot drinks.
Lunch and dinner are exquisite. The bar has some delicious apetisers and tea (english style) is served every afternoon,
The location cannot be better.
