Crisp and attentive service in Claridge Hotel...

15-story Claridge Hotel stands as a corner building just beyond Retiro Park, a 10-minute drive to downtown. At first glance the hotel may appear impersonal but the modern, well-equipped bedrooms, coffee shop, bar and simple but pleasant cellar dining room provide good value and dependable comfort.

The service at the Claridge is crisp and attentive. The facade of the hotel has been recently renovated. It is a magnificent red brick building with balconies and windows overlooking the Conde de Casal Square. The lobby is medium in size with a revolving door accessing the hall and reception area. The public areas are elegant with marble floors and coordinated upholstery and drapes. All the comfortable and well equipped rooms make the guests feel like they are at home, and in the hotel's restaurant guests will taste all the flavor of Spanish cuisine.
LOCATION

Claridge Hotel is situated on commercial area of Conde Casal Square and only five minutes to the city center, close to the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen, main central railway station Atocha-Ave, main bus station and Auto Res stations. There is a direct entrance from the highway M30 and ease displacement to Barajas Airport and main center Juan Arws I.

"location as at first glance "
Claridge Hotel staff were courteous and the bedroom was surprisingly spacious considering the reasonable prices charged. Another plus was the location as at first glance you may feel you will be a little isolated but the transport links are superb (very punctual) and it is extremely easy to get to all of the City's major attractions, shops and markets etc. The breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked and the hotel bar was a real find. Its open to residents and locals so has a great atmosphere and they also have a wide selection of chilled sherry alongside the expected coffees, beers and juices. When we return to Madrid we would not hesitate to stay here again.
