Clarion Bryggen Tromso Hotel is located in the city center of Tromso. Built in 2001, the Clarion Bryggen Hotel is the newest large-scale hotel in Tromso, with a harbor-front position. The hotel has a contemporary-style lobby, wide upstairs hallways, and big-windowed bedrooms that are comfortably laid out, usually with a writing table. One of the favored spots here is the outdoor hot tub on the rooftop terrace near the hotel's sauna. As icy rain falls, hot-tubbers soak up the heat while admiring panoramas over the frigid waters of Tromso's harbor. |

Fantastic hotel
The Clarion Hotel Bryggen is a great hotel, modern and quiet. It's in an ideal location right on the waterfront next to the other hotels and restaurants. Plus it's only 200 yards from the main shopping street. Everywhere in Tromso is within 10 minutes walking distance (Polaria, shops, museum, Mack brewery etc).
The room was very modern and clean with a fantastic shower and lovely heated floor in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and it was excellent with everything from fruit, bread, pastries, different types of yoghurt, musli, cereal, cheese & ham all the way to a full fried breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans, fried potatoes etc) plus there were many Norwegian specialities on offer.
The hotel had a free PC in the reception area which was handy for checking the Northern Lights activity (didn't see them unfortunately) and there was free tea and coffee all day. To top it off the hotel has a hot tub on the roof so you can bathe outside in a lovely warm spa and enjoy the view of the water and mountains even though it's freezing cold outside. |
