A fine and central place to stay whether you are in Copenhagenas a tourist or on business...
Clarion Collection Twentyseven is situated in the historical centre of Copen-hagen. The first farm houses of what was to become the city are no than more 50 yards from where the hotel is today, and the small fisherman village that gave its name to the modern town, was 30 yards from the hotel towards the coastline. The very name Copenhagen reflects the primary tasks of the two small communities. “Hagen” means harbour which refers to the fishermen “Copen” is related to the German “Kaufen” and refers to the mer-chants in the growing rural settlement - Copen and Hagen. |

Fantastic find
I booked this hotel and thought it was going to be pretty shabby but in an excellent location - I could'nt have been more wrong. It's been totally refurbished and is now totally Danish chic. Imagine a red foyer - receptionist working from apple mac's in a ultra modern lobby with no 'check in' desk as such. Cool bars on either side with card operated self service wine dispensers..... I thought perhaps they have just refurnished the lobby - our rooms was great - bright and light with 2 large beds, simple but sleek rooms with bright red cupboards and a funky bathroom. Could it get better - oh yes! The American buffet breakfast was a Danish help yourself feast - little shot glasses of yoghudt, honey, fruit and museli, fresh pastries, bread, boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, meats, coffee machines, squeeze your own orange juice. And breakfast ran for hours - no need to get up early here. Great hotel, good price and excellent location. If I go back to Copenhagen I will stay here again. |

"Loved it"
I have to say that I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this hotel. We had originally booked at DGI Byen Hotel, which I was unsatisfied with the minute I entered our room, so I spent the rest of the night walking around Copenhagen looking for a different hotel. I found Copenhagen Hotel 27, formally Mermaid Hotel, ( I assume they are now under new ownership, hence the name change and renovations). When I entered I asked if there were any available rooms for check-in for a family of 4, the pleasant man at the reception said yes and gave me the key so that I may view the room. It was one of the newly renovated rooms, which was so immaculately clean. I wish I had taken some photographs of the room to post ( I must say that the review and photos I saw of the old room on tripadvisor was very different from my experience). So if you book at this hotel, I would highly recommend that you ask for one of the renovated rooms..I believe there are currently 70 out of 200 rooms that already finished, they say within 2 years the whole hotel will be completed. The construction, however was not an interference or a noise issue during our stay. The hotel itself is situated in the most perfect location in Copenhagen. It is on a quiet street, yet one street parallel to the "main tourist shopping street" and less than 5 minute walk to Tivoli. The breakfast was delicious, and they also have nice bike rentals and free wireless connection. I must say that we were very lucky to find this hotel and even more lucky to have been given one of the renovated rooms.

"perfect for a short break in copenhagen"
I stayed here for four nights with my friend for a short break. It was in a good location on a quiet street in the centre of the town. As two girls, we felt safe walking home at night. We were put in one of the newer rooms and it was lovely. Comfy spacious beds, flatscreen tv with a few local and international channels and radio stations. We were a bit freaked out by the bathroom though. The door didn't close fully (not because it was broken, just the way it's made) and the wall that separates the shower from the main bedroom area was almost completely see through. Breakfast was lovely. There was a huge choice of cooked and continental breakfast foods, and fruit. We had something different each day. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

"Excellent Hotel!!"
I have just returned from a 2 day stay in Copenhagen and I loved it!.
The Hotel 27 was beautiful! Even though the hotel is currently under renovation that made no difference to my excellent stay.
The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Tivoli Gardens and the made strip of shops, so it is very central.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and my room was fabulous! It was clean and extremeely modern and the bed was so comfortable. I would definately recommend this hotel to a friend and I would definately go back!
