"Decent enough"
I've stayed here twice recently and had no problems. The hotel is small but fairly stylish with attractively decorated rooms with dark hardwood floors. Definitely the nicest Clarion I've stayed at. The included breakfast wasn't very good but no worse than par for its kind. Staff was helpful and efficient. The main drawback to this place is the location, rather far to walk to anywhere of note and very little to do in the immediate neighborhood. It is very close (one half block) to the U- and S-bahns however.

"A nice stay!"
I stayed at the Ambience Rivoli for two nights while staying in Munich. Overall, i enjoyed the stay. The rooms were air conditioned, modern, well decorated, clean, and pretty good size for European standards. (most european hotel rooms feel like a shoebox.) The room had many amenities, including electronic curtains (which made the room nice and dark for sleeping). The bathroom was also very clean and modern, with marble and tile, a makeup mirror, and nice shower/bath. Some rooms have jacuzzi tubs. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The only negative was the hotel is not within walking distance to the Marienplatz, or other tourist destinations. It is, however, right next door to the Subway, which takes you to the Marienplatz in about 10 minutes. Also, the taxi ride from the train station cost about 12-15 euros.
