"A Good Choice"
Classic old building in the city center that has been converted in a hotel, easy access to everything, train opposite, city cat within 10-15 min. walk, Queen Street Mall 2 blocks away. Very professional check in staff, pleasant and friendly. I had a standard room with contained a microwave and an actual kitchen sink, (amazing how handy a kitchen sink becomes in a hotel room) much better than filling the kettle and washing the coffee cups in the bathroom sink. Rooms have high ceilings that gives a feeling of space and are nice and clean and plenty of natural light. A walk in shower that beats standing in the bath is also a plus. My only complaints are I had a connecting door to the room next door and I easily heard my neighbours coming and going and chatting, and a nice donna on the bed would be much more attractive than the old bedcover. Did call to ask reception the charge for internet access, was quoted $14, the correct price should have been $20 but as they verbally quoted me they held the $14 price. Nice hotel, I would recommend it.

"Grand old building"
The Rendezvous, as other people have mentioned, is exceptionally well located being opposite Central Station and up the road from the CBD and shopping districts of Brisbane. The rooms are large and comfortable with a seperate TV in the bedroom of the 1 bedroom apartments. Broadband internet available (AUD20/day) and valet parking. The only downside of the hotel is the lack of paytv, but this shouldn't be an issue in Brisbane as you should be wondering what you are doing inside (Beautiful One Day, Perfect the Next).

"Love this hotel"
I don;t know why people think this is an ordinary hotel - I just love it. It is in such a convenient spot. The rooms are great and spacious and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Whenever I go to Brisbane I always stay at the Rendevous.
