"Nice small hotel for Paris on a budget."
My husband and I just returned from 6 days in Paris at the Relais De Paris Lyon Bastille hotel.
It was small (40+ rooms) but our room was larger than I had expected. The bathroom was clean and modern. The shower was attached to the wall, but could be removed and used as a hand held. Bathroom had a hair dryer. The bed was large enough for the two of us and the closet held all of the clothing we had brought with us.
The people who staffed the front desk were very helpful. They spoke English and went out of their way to make our stay a happy one.
We were very satisfied, but some might not be as happy as we were. The lift broke down while we were there, which wasn't a problem for us on the 1st floor, but it could have been a problem if we'd been on a higher level.
The hotel is located on a small street behind a hospital. At night there aren't many people around. Again, this didn't bother us, we're used to city areas, but if you are uncomfortable in a city to begin with, then this street might make you nervous.
I mention the negatives only to aide you in deciding if this hotel would be for you. Myself, I'd gladly stay there again.
