"a good place to stay and rest. "
Color Hotel located a little bit further remote from Bratislava down town than expected, in a Business / industrial area. But conveniently located closed to a tram station which allow you to be down town in 15 /20 minutes. Would have appreciated room with air conditionning, which should have beena good facility for an hotel recently openned. but overall a good place to stay and rest. |

"HIGHLY recommend "
Color Hotel was perfect for me as I was flying into Bratislava late a night. The taxi fare from the airport was inexpensive, and the hotel was much cheaper than in the city itself. The next morning, I took a very cheap tram ride straight to the rail station, other trams go right through to the city in about 15 or 20mins. The room was immaculate and large, and decorated very modern.
HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you don't mind it being a little out of the city and not much around it in regards to services, etc. |

"Modernist Delight"
On first impression, Hotel Color is an unlikely tourist hotel, located on the outskirts of Bratislava in an industrial area. I very nearly left immediately.
This would have been a mistake. The hotel is brand-new and squeaky clean and is situated on two local tram lines (2 and 4) that get you into the centre of town in about 20 mins at a cost of 17 Crowns. With six trams an hour, it is quick and convenient.
Getting back by taxi will cost about 250 Crowns with a reputable firm (Beware taxi scams!).
Rooms are large, well-furnished and have large shower rooms. The latter are fitted with motion sensor light switches, which can be a pain (lights go out if you do not move enough, e.g. while shaving!).
The rooms lacked curtains (drapes) whilst I was there, but I am assured these will be installed shortly!
The hotel has a small restaurant that offers a limited menu for lunch and dinner, being mainly used for provision of breakfast. Food is fairly good.
TV is in every room, but is limited, in that the only English language channel is CNN. German / Czech / Slovak speakers fare better.
Staff are helpful and friendly, and will take time to try and solve problems for you.
Overall an excellent hotel, still new enough to be working through the usual start-up hiccups.
