"Cheap but cheerful" This hotel was clean and staff very friendly, close proximity to shops and promanade. Didn't find it noisy at all as it is located on a side street!! Refurbishment being done but didn't bother us at all - well worth the £12 a night :-)

"Excellent hotel. First class" I cannot praise this Hotel or its staff enough. Prior to going to Nice I had read the reviews on this page and was alarmed. I can now say they are all unfounded. And the stay in the Comfort was great. The staff spoke English, the rooms were clean, comfortable and fitted with Sky television. I am hard to please at the best of times and have stayed in hotels all over Europe. I have to give this one a 10 out of 10. I could find nothing to complain about, so it proves you can't believe everything you read. Don't judge the hotel on the other outdated views listed here by others, take it from me it's great and when I go back to Nice, which I will, there is no other place for me and my family to stay other than the comfort.

"WELCOMING TO THE IRISH" What a load of --- I read in these reviews about this hotel before I went to stay in it. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in several countries and the welcome you get here is second to none, "MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE WE WEREN'T ENGLISH". The staff were so helpful in planning our trips of the Riviera sites, the rooms were clean,bright and comfortable with Sky news to keep us updated. The hotel is central, five minutes from the bus and rail stations, two minutes to some of the finest restaurants in Nice. If you believe what some people have written about this hotel you'd be foolish. I take many short breaks in the Republic of Ireland and their welcome is legendary, well I put the staff of the Comfort Hotel Nice up there with them. I admit I'm not the easiest to please, but this Northern Irishman and his family will go back to Nice and there is nowhere else I would stay. Full marks for this one.
