"good value & people"
Stayed here with a friend for 7 days in the end of July; and had a great time.
The staff are fantastic - very friendly and do a great job; from the bar staff to the bottom.
Bathroom was very clean with a good solid pressure shower; certainly a bonus. Free lobby internet was a friendly touch.
Cannot comment on breakfast, as it seemed expensive.
Osterport is great location-wise - you can walk to central in 15ish minutes. You're just around the corner from the statens musem for kunst. It is a seemingly quiet area of town, but there's a few good supermarkets / italian takeaways / bars and places of interest, quite nearby.
The big downer was of course, the rooms running flush next to the Osterport station. It's noisy. If you are a light sleeper then this will mean trouble.. so much so i'd recommend somewhere else. If you're not, then it's tolerable.. in fact you sort of get used to it
Interestingly, very hard to find a laundry from here. (the hotel service is terribly expensive).
But again, it is comfortable, very cheery staff, great location and hence, quite good value.

Summary
Generaly I have to say that rooms and service was nice, but breakfast quality was rather poor. Scrambled eggs tasted awful (was sweat), and beacon was rather crispy. It should be mentioned that lady in reception was very kind and pleasant. Hotel is not in strict city center but about 15 min walk. |

Ms B Israel
Stayed for 2 nights and the room was right next to the railway tracks and each time a train went pass i thought i was in one of the carriages. So if you decide to stay at this hotel make sure you ask for a room away from the railway line. The room was spacious and clean, although when i asked for an extra pillow i was told they did not supply extra pillows!! I don't think i will be staying there again. |

"The Best Hotel Bed!"
I loved this hotel! Stayed here for a weekend in December 2005 while my husband was on business. We had a room with a view of the water, king size bed. The room was clean, spacious, immaculate bathroom with excellent amenities. The bed is the best bed I have ever slept in - I was tempted to stay in bed the whole weekend because it was so comfortable!!!!! |

"Best value I could find in Copenhagen"
Like previous (Canadian) reviewer I was also pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
This came out the best price on Expedia (after hotels without ensuite or at the airport). With Danish prices so high, we didn't want to waste our kroners.
Yet the Osterport was great, with lots of extras. Danish and international choices at morning and evening buffets, with choice of apple, mango and orange juice, even vitamins, ginseng and fish oil capsules, and some chocolate cake on two days. Hot drinks available round the clock.
The bed and bathrooms were a decent size, with BBC World, US comedies like Frasier and CNN on TV, plus a fridge. Comfy, safe, efficient and friendly.
Yes, it's built along a railway, so the view's not great, and light sleepers should get earplugs or pay more for the other side, but we slept fine. And it was half an hour's ride to the airport without much bag carrying.
The local restaurants are a fair walk (turn left and keep going) but once we started using the train into the heart of town we had more choice with a better price range.
We loved it, hope you do too!

"Excellent value for money"
Checked in for a three night stay on a bed and breakfast basis only to be advised by reception that a free buffet meal was available in the evenings. This saved loads of money unexpectedly and I was delighted by both this and the free internet access. I stayed on the side of the hotel where you could see and hear the trains but that posed no problems whatsoever (a motorway with constant noise and pollution would have been a different matter). There was a slight drain-ish whiff from the bathroom but otherwise everything exceeded expectations. I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else (the length of the corridors exceeded anything I'd ever seen before but, hey, the exercise helped to work off the extra food!).
