The Idaho Shakespeare Festival in Boise has carved a niche for itself in the expansive landscape of American theatre festivals. The festival began in 1977 when a group of determined actors put on A Midsummer Night's Dream at a local eatery.
The reception was overwhelmingly positive and they continued with their performances. In 1996, spurred on by increasing audiences and artistic demands, the festival initiated a campaign to build a permanent home. This dream became a reality in 1998 with the opening of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival Amphitheater, an outdoor amphitheatre set along the banks of the lovely Boise River.

"Excellent hotel even with kids"
Stayed there en-route to a Disney Cruise. Hotel was a lot better than I thought it would be based on the information on the web. We had 3 rooms. All rooms were big and nicer than the standard European hotel. Location was off the beaten path and quiet. Easy place to get rest after a long flight. Bathrooms are very spacious and extremely nice. Restaurants are close by but as you'll see, food in Spain is expensive in the tourist areas so don't eat near a square or large tourist area. A small pastry shop is across the street and the best I've had in Europe…and cheap too. Major international airline crews stay here as well which means it's a good place. If anyone complains about this hotel, they should not travel. The cost of a taxi from the airport is around 16 Euro plus extra passengers and luggage. I paid 40 Euro for 4 folks and lots of bags plus the standard 5% tip (on the meter) The cost for a taxi to the port from the hotel was 35 Euro…yet the port is a lot closer to the hotel than the airport (no meter used…he had a standard price sheet)…taxi from the port to the airport was only 30 Euro (on the meter)…so be aware the taxi cab drivers can play games with tourist especially if you don’t speak the language. The subway is about a 10 min walk. The hotel staff was very nice to us and spoke good English. My dad needed a new pair of reading glasses and the lady at the desk walked him to the store so he could get there without any problems. The next time I travel to Barcelona, I’ll stay here again…but I’ll have a better plan on how to deal with the taxi cab drivers! If you’re traveling light, the bus from the airport is supposed to be really easy and has a stop near the hotel.

"Excellent Hotel"
Stayed for one night in the Fira Hotel in BArcelona. Rooms were exceptionally large with a beautiful bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent with an extensive choice of dishes.
Location was perfect in the centre of barcelona, beside the Plaza
Espanya.
Parking for guests is 16 euro per day.

"Nice hotel"
The Fira Palace is a nice hotel located directly next to the fair (which can be good and bad - especially when you are there 5 days before the int'l car show). It's in town, but we spent quite some money on taxis to go to various locations.
Rooms are really large, bed is hard (which I like), bathroom could be better organized (large but shower is small).
The breakfast is quite OK, the food (conference) was too - but not very diverse. The bar could improve (only basic cocktails and some cheap crackers).
The staff was cool and spoke pretty good english for Spain.
Overall I really liked the hotel, but it wasn't cheap (160E/night one month in advance).

"A Perfect Vacation"
The perfect Thanksgiving break. The hotel has everything you could dream of. Within walking distance (5 min) to the locals shopping district and the city bus tour. Cab fares were relatively cheap for after hours clubbing.
The hotel is a true 5* hotel (American standards). I was there for 4 days with 3 friends in 1 room. The room had 2 queen size beds and a sofabed. The bathroom was equipped with a shower and tub. And the all inportant double sink and large mirror for 4 females. The only thing that we would have liked was to have the pool open later than 10pm.
Not a great location if planning to really enjoy the club scene since you are a bit away from downtown Barcelona.
