"Good deal for the price"
I was a little skeptical in the beginning since this is an older hotel with outside entrances (as a woman traveling alone, this always makes me nervous), but I was pretty happy with this place for the price. The doors opened using a card reader and there was a deadbolt, but only the older style chain lock as the second lock.The room was a little old, showing a little wear and tear on the furniture and carpets, but it was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice towels. Coffee maker, blowdryer, decent TV. The front desk clerk was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ready at the stated hour and as advertised: waffles, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, etc. My only complaint with breakfast was that the breakfast lounge could have used some serious vaccuuming. Finally, the location is pretty quiet for being in town. The hotel is just far enough away from the interstate and the rooms are set back from the road. All in all, I gave this place an above average rating because it was nicer than many places I've stayed for a similar price and perhaps one of the few times I've actually seen breakfast ready at the designated hour.
