Nice location
The best thing the with Comfort Inn Kensington Hotel is its excellent location. You are close to every important attraction and tube stations enables you reach street of London, but never in the middle of noisy pubs and restaurants. I accept they dont have the best rooms, but I was there only to sleep, so no problem for me. |

"My Home For a Week"
My boyfriend booked this hotel just a few days before i was to arrive because the other hotel he booked imformed us that they couldnt follow through with the room we had already booked three months prior. Anyway, I made my way from Heathrow which didnt take too long and finally came to the hotel steps around midnight. My boyfriend had already checked in so he just went to the desk and got the room card. The lift was really dodgy and i couldnt help but laugh. (two out of the six days i was there the lift was broken and it was soooo horrible walking up because you stop and go stop and go i found myself sitting on the stairs to catch my breath! we were on the highest floor, very lucky.)When we got to our room i smelled this mildewy smell but i didnt want to seem like i was complaining so i kept my mouth shut. After a while it did fade away. My boyfriend told me that the staff said to keep the door closed while showering because the steam would cause the smoke alarm to go off. It did but it wasnt from our room, but i would peak outside the room and notice that other people peaked out too, kinda funny. The location, i feel, was great! I would find that we would eat dinner just a few steps away from our hotel and i had proper curry for the first time. Theres also a grocery store that you could pick up something to eat if you didnt feel like dining out and just eat in your room and watch crappy british telly. I highly suggest to actually take a peak of the area its so cute! When going to the tube, theres a little shop where you could refil your oyster card and pick up a small snack before heading out to the more touristy places of London. The staff was great! This one staff member was extra lovely and would say "bye enjoy your day!" they were really welcoming and made me smile. I even bought chocolate on my last day there to really say thank you. The bar could use a little help with the selection, but what do you expect? At least it wasnt as busy as some pubs were just around the corner and it was a great place to unwind. More than anything, this was my home for the time i was in London and i loved it, i will be back again!

"good value for cost"
We are novice travelers, and this was our first trip broad. We arrived exhausted after an overnight flight from u.s. We were allowed to check-in early and were very happy w our room.We were on 1st floor facing quiet rear. The continental breakfast was adequate and we found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The facilites were clean if a little shabby in hallways. Our room was clean and there are grocery stores and good restaurants nearby. Not for those expecting luxury but fine for budget-minded travelers.

"Cheers to Christain and Comfort Inn"
My wife and I have stayed at the Comfort Inn in Kensington five times and are planning a sixth currently for April '06. It meets all our needs and I fully agree with other reviewers in that "Christian is a very polite and helpful staff member". He has been my "advisor" for trips in and out of London almost all of my London trips. "Thanks Christain"..you haven't failed us yet!!! It is clean, the food is good(the full English buffet isn't a bargain but yeah Benji's is just down the road). The walk down Cromwell road is wonderful with all the sights and sounds plus the British musuem, Harrods" and Earl's Court are just right there. We also buy snacks and groceries at Sainsbury's down the road as well. CHEERS to Comfort INN and LONDON from Tim and Judy in Clarksville, Texas!!!!!

"Very Pleased"
After reading many bad reviews of this hotel (after I had already booked my stay), I was very worried about what I'd find. However, I was very happy with the hotel. My room was very clean and cute; the bathroom facilities worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel was in an excellent location. I had no problems whatsoever. I would stay there again.

"Extraordinary help and service"
During my mother's stay in London her travel partner left her alone in London following an argument. I received a voicemail from this woman telling me she left her and her message sent me into a state of worry, concern, and very scared. I called the hotel and relayed what I knew. My mother is 78 years old and the manager and staff not only helped me relax but was actively trying to find my mother from hospitals to tours she may have gone on. When she arrived back at the hotel I received 2 phone calls (less than 3 minuets apart) from the hotel letting me know she was safe and just arrived back.
While I left out the constant communication back and forth from the states to London, I can only say it was because of the manager and staff I was able to relax and know someone there was going to look out for her and take care of her if needed.
On my end I say this is what you can count on: a committed staff to the safety of guests, extraordinary service to concerned relatives/friends if needed, and communication that really addresses the situation and emotions with commpassion and professionalism.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else after this!
