"A BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY"
THE HOTEL is a modern construction, in a quiet zone of the principal town of the Czech Republik. In front of the hotel there is a tram stop; there are 3 tram lines, one of 12 minutes from 7.00 am to 23.00 p.m and one tram line every 30 minutes in the night. Near the hotel there is a metro station. Hotel Alta is a hotel of the Best Western Group, four stars, with not too expansive rates.

"Clean, Cool and comfortable"
My husband and I stayed here for three nights and found it a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are not large but they are comfortable, very clean and the AC works well!. (It was very hot when we were in Prague so the air conditioning in our room was wonderful!) The bathrooms are quite nice. Breakfast was fine and we found that the dining room employees made every effort to be helpful. We liiked the quiet neighborhood location - out of the tourist madness but easy to reach the city center via public transportation.

"Great stay at Alta Hotel"
We have stayed in this hotel at the end of December during new year holiday. The hotel was new, clean and well designed. The breakfast buffet was rich and we have eaten a delicous dinner in their restaurant. The staff were very helpful for our questions about the city and sightseeing tours. The location of the hotel is in a quite residental area. Not too far away from the historical center of Prague. You can easily reach to the city center by tram no 12 within 10 minutes. Underground line is almost 400 meters away form the hotel, where you can easily reach by 10 minutes walking. I would definately suggest this hotel for the people looking for a nice, clean and unexpensive accommodation. We loved Prague and Alta Hotel. Hope to be in this lovely city again!

"Absolutely Loved it!"
Wow! It is strange to hear the bad reviews, as my son and I stayed there twice in July 2006 (once before the cruise, and we loved it so much, we stayed there the night the cruise returned). The people were soooo very nice - we even got an upgrade because the room they promised us was not available.
I have to say that their beds were soooo comfortable...the best motel/hotel sleep I have ever had in my life (and I have stayed a lot of hotels from cheap to expensive). I liked it so much that I actually emailed corporate to find out what brand of bed they used.

"Pre-Cruise Prep Hotel"
Despite the negative reviews, I found my one night at this hotel quite pleasant. Being a Saturday night, the hotel was full of guests departing on cruises the next day. The hotel staff was nice enough, and the room was clean and proper; nothing fancy. After checking into my room I took a little walk around the area. Within walking distance are many places to eat and shop. So in these times of limited carry on items on aircraft, you could easily stock up at the local stores for all your shampoos, sunscreens, toothpaste, etc. Whereas you could "prep" for the week ahead.
