"a pleasure" Confortel Suites Madrid Hotel is good value. Located nearly across the street from the Alfonso XIII Metro station made reaching the hotel from the airport easy (20 Min.) and made access to the Prado, Retiro, Plaza Mayor and other points of interest a pleasure.

"Clean, spacious room" Stayed at the Confortel Madrid for one night. Big, 2 room ( bedroom + living room) suite for 90 USD. It was clean and quite. "Quiet hotel with a big and comfortable bed" We have stayed at the Confortel for two nights. Big comfortable suite: bedroom + living room. It was clean and quite. Taxi at 02:00 from the airport to the hotel 18.00 EUR. Located a bit out of central Madrid, but very close (50 meters) to the Metro station (subway). Spacious clean lobby, an area with free internet connection. Big queen size bed with a wonderful mattress. This was very important as we were only walking and used the metro only to get to the airport from the hotel. Good air conditioning. Mini bar was free of charge, but was not filled in once we have used it (possibly a normal practice?) Ceiling in the barthroom very low and cracked, bathroom in poor condition, despite of marble floors. 4 stars for space and cleanliness, 2 stars or 1 for maintenance.

"Bang for Buck!" We booked this hotel using [---]. Check-In was smooth, although nobody spoke English. The rooms are VERY comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bathroom has nice toiletries and a great shower. The free mini-bar is only water, juice, and beer, but a nice touch. Do not rely on the free internet access in the lobby as the provided computers are defunct. Wireless is available to purchase for access from the rooms. The breakfast is pricey but an excellent selection of pastries, cheeses, etc. and everything is very fresh. The location is about 5-10 minutes by car/public transit from the city center, and is a super conventient 1 block walk to metro transportation (so walking tours are still very possible, but I recommend taking public transit to the general area first.) Checkout was simple, although we were slightly overcharged compared to our booking rate. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a bit more than a budget, but not wanting to splurge on luxury accomodations. Great for business, family,and couples wanting to stay just outside of the city´s comotion, and still have easy access to city and area attractions.

"Good modern hotel near Metro" Stayed for 2 nights to attend trade show at IFEMA. Hotel ideally placed for Metro to historic Madrid, IFEMA & Airport. No immediately obvious choices for eating in the immediate vicinity but didn't spend a great deal of time looking as we headed into the historic areas to eat & sightsee (nb MacDonalds has now closed!) Despite booking online directly through Confortel, the hotel did not have our reservation (deposit had been debited from Credit Card) but check in staff dealt with this efficiently. Only issue can when notes left to explain situation were not interpreted correctly when checking out and full amount was charged in error. Luckily this was spotted immediately and reversed so no harm done. Rooms very clean, modern & new. We had a desk, sofa bed, king bed (US style) LCD tv with english speaking news channels (BBC & CNN) Previous reviewer mentioned that internet in lobby was not working but was fine during our stay.
