"Full marks to the Conrad" few weeks ago I wrote a review critical of the Conrad's management of their 22nd floor Executive Lounge - see previously submited review below. Without even telling the Conrad that I had submitted a review to tripadvisor.com, and before the review even appeared on the internet, I am DELIGHTED to report that the Conrad took my face-to-face comments to heart and, with immediate effect, has stopped allowing tourist groups to use the Executive Lounge for their 'happy hour'. Previous complaints to the Conrad had been met with broken promises, hence the motivation for my previous review in the first place, but I belive the Conrad is sincere in their undertaking this time. In the absence of the crowds give the Executive Lounge a try; the staff, the waiters, etc are a delight to deal with. In fact the entire hotel is worthy of your business.

"An excellent place to stay in Cairo" This hotel is excellent in so many ways. The staff are attentive & helpful, the lobby area is great for it's cafe culture. The rooms were always well kept and the food was superb. This is what 5 star hotels should be like. This is an excellent blend of service and style. Recommended!

"Conrad in Cairo over Four Seasons!" Just stayed at Cairo Conrad for a week. Everything about the stay was amazing! The staff, at every level whether it was the doorman, room serevice, housekeeping, pool staff, concierge, checkin, or in the incredible executive lounge. They all seemed to go beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome, comfortable and taken care of. It's location also makes it ideal to get around the city. We were booked into the Four Seasons for the two days in Cairo after our Nile cruise, but we switched to the Conrad after our fantastic week there prior to the cruise.

"Good hotel, extremely good service" Stayed here in May 2005 for 2 nights. Good central location, on the Nile, clean and spacious rooms, extremely friendly hotel staff, nice pool. Roughly half an hour's (USD 4) taxi drive away from airport, the famous bazar (Khan al-Khalili) in Islamic Cairo, and Giza pyramids. Upgrade to executive floor recommendable: free drinks (free alcoholic ones between 5 and 7 PM) and food, for just USD 30/night extra.
