"What you expect of a Conrad"
This is my second stay in this hotel. Originally stayed back in February while the hotel was under renovation and was not impressed (see my review: "Don't go at the moment". We got invited back by one of the managers there who I had spoken to last time when I had problems and had offered a complimentary stay next time. Upon arrival I must say how impressed I was with the new look. The lobby is very nice and leads back into a large bar and the restaurant. We had a suite on the 3rd floor that faced the opera house. It had a large lounge area with a desk, TV, bar area, and sofa and chairs (and chocolates when we arrived). The bedroom has large king bed, sofa area, TV. The furniture and ornaments where all new and stunning. Off the bedroom was a large bathroom with separate shower and bath and filled with Temple Spar products. Turndown each night was very good with the bed made, robes and slippers put out and water as well as the stereos in both rooms put on and bathroom made to look great again. We ate in the restaurant the first night and must say that it was excellent food and not that bad value (if the tables are a little close in some parts). We also had afternoon tea on the Sunday in the bar / lounge area and again of a very high standard and good service. Breakfast in the mornings is served in the restaurant and there is a great selection of hot and cold food and staff always on hand just encase you want anything else. Having stayed before and not been happy at all I must now say that this hotel is now a very nice 5 star hotel and well worth thinking about if you are going to Dublin. It is now what I would consider a Conrad hotel to be.

"What a gem!"
Spent three nights at the Conrad in early June. Hotel was very clean, modern and well appointed. Room was oversized by EU standards with large bath, sitting area and large desk with work space. King bed was very comfortable and covered with quality sheets and duvee. Bath had shower tub combo but was oversized as well with great pressure and plenty of hot water. While this was not a suite by hotel standards, the fire exit map on the back of the door showed this room to be quite larger than some others on the same floor. Ask questions if you are not satisfied with the size of your room. Turndown nightly was great. Slippers, bath robes, chocolate on pillow and bottles of water for bedside were all nice touches. Room was very clean. Hotel lobby was nicely decorated and had a nice lounge with table service for light menu and drinks. Staff was always prompt and courteous and prices were reasonable. Had breakfast at the restaurant twice only becuase we were given free coupons for it. Our rate at booking did not indicate that included breakfast but we were given the vouchers anyway. Would NOT reccomend eating here if you are paying for it. Hotel location is SE of Stephens Green. Dublin is very self contained so everything is 10-15 minute walk. This is a business area however so be prepared for most businesses around the hotel to be closed on the weekends. Each day started and ended with a stroll through the park to get a tour bus or walk to another part of town. We were not at all bothered by the location but if you want to step out of the door into the action you should look elsewhere.

"Great Hotel"
We stayed at the Conrad Hilton July 5th through the 11th 2005. Excellent attention to detail. Turn down service with the robes and slippers, water and chocolates. Sound proof rooms with the DVD is first class Wine and chocolates upon arrival in the room is a nice touch for Diamond HHonors members. Great location to downtown, Saint Stephens Green Park and shopping on Grafton Street. But where is the pool and sauna ? Would recommend eating breakfast at a local place, cost 100 euro for 4 people

"Good modern hotel"
Took a reservation here after reading the reports on this very useful website! Hotel was as described. Very helpful front desk staff. Well maintained and comfortable rooms and a pleasant walk across St Stephens Green takes you to the heart of the shopping district on Grafton Street where there are numerous excellent shops, restaurants and bars. My favourite restauarant requires a slightly longer walk to the Temple bar area..it's called Les Frere Jacques!
