"Charming hotel"
This hotel makes you feel like you are in France. It is small and personal. The location is perfect and the price is very reasonable. We had dinner in the retaurant which was wonderful and totally romantic and the price was right. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great Location"
The hotel is in a great location next to Union Square. We stayed for three nights and did not have a car ($40 cab from the airport). We were able to walk, take the bus, cable car, etc. to all points in the city. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was enjoyable. We had two choices for breakfast - French toast or eggs and toast. The French toast was delicious and was served a lot faster than the eggs.

"Recommended"
Booked this through my partners recommendation, really nice hotel. Friendly staff. Room is clean. The baths are a bonus for the USA - deep roll top tubs. The location is good although the adult theatre next door could be off putting for some. Parking is in the garage across the street at a reduced cost from the normal garage prices. If hiring a car through Alamo the office is right across the street. It is 5 minutes walk to Union Square- downhill although the walk up can be a struggle. The restaurant in the basement serves really good quality french food at a good price and is worth a visit.

"Great location"
We stayed at the Cornell hotel in for 4 nights in a room with a double bed and a twin (for our son). The room was a bit small for three and overlooked the street. It was remarkably quiet when the windows were closed even though there was a lot of traffic and noise outside. When the radiator was on, the room got very hot, so we kept the heat off - perhaps since we were on the fourth floor, we got all the rising heat. The hotel is a bit old but kept up and the bathroom was nice with a new looking old fashioned tub with a great shower head. We had breakfast every morning (included with our rate). With breakfast you have a choice of eggs with toast and bacon or French toast or pancakes. You can also ask for a mixed eggs/pancakes. They also have a couple of cold cereals available. The service was quick and they were happy to get us extras like milk for our son. But the actual breakfast was about average. We also had dinner one night at the hotel as part of our package – they have a fixed price menu of French food. The front desk personnel were responsive and got us extra blankets, ordered taxi etc. The location is great! Step out the door and you can catch the cable car, and its just a few blocks from Chinatown and Union Square.
