One of the most favourite choices for travelers...
A converted farmhouse situated on an outcrop of land on the periphery of the village of Xaghra, the four star Cornucopia Hotel overlooks one of Gozo's most cherished and serene sights. From this ridge you can view the long, winding valley that leads to Marsalforn, one of Gozo's most popular bays. The tranquillity of the surroundings are reflected in the understated qualities of the facade. Only when entering the portals of this lodge can you fully appreciate the timeless qualities of this resort.
The guest rooms at the Cornucopia Hotel are an inspiring combination of warm, friendly interiors with present day amenities. You may choose between the double bedroom or the family suites. And for that special occasion you may choose either the honeymoon or VIP suites.
Recommended by the "Good Hotel Guide for Britain and Europe" since 1979, the hotel's cuisine offers a buffet breakfast and a menu of delectable local and foreign dishes especially prepared by the hotels chefs. During the winter months a carvery is served every Friday night; and by the way of change, guests can sample the Eclipse Restaurant, on the outskirts of Victoria which offers an Indonesian night every Wednesday during the summer months.
The hotel has made a special feature of its grounds. With its two swimming pools, a whirlpool and a children's pool, it has created a touch of the exotic in the heart of Gozo. This theme reflected throughout the air-conditioned complex itself. A series of vaulted arches lead through to the various public areas, opening out into the lounge with its antique Maltese clock and warmly lit surroundings; the bar area, its convival atmosophere making it a natural meeting point for the hotel's guests; its reading rooms and hairdressing salon. |

Extremly helpful staff, good food, excellent Friday night BBQ, but hotel is not to 4 star standard. Room furniture falling apart, general hotel maintenance very lacking, topside pool very dirty, new constructions going all around hotel. |

Lovely Holiday
My husband, myself our 16 year old daughter plus her friend, had the most glorious time here in July 2007. It's so different, the staff are amazing and always smiling and just can't do enough. The food is wonderful as are the rooms, it's peaceful and so relaxing and just simply enchanting. Our 16 yr old plus her friend assure us that they loved every minute. The local firework fiestas are a must see. The buses tootle everywhere regularly or taxis are summonsed in the blink of an eye through the hotel. Or just around the corner the pony & trap Island trips are a must do. It is so pretty everywhere you look both in the hotel and out & about, but most importantly unspoilt. It's not your Costa style holiday thankfully, far from it, no noisy late night goings on or rowdiness anywhere. You can relax and feel safe here, everything is to hand and if it isn't it's sure to be magically found for you by the hotel manager. Our holiday experience was just lovely each moment from dawn to dusk was perfect. What a place. Can't wait to revisit-repeatedly!
