"Excellent!" This was simply a wonderful hotel to stay at It is in such a picturesque area with wonderful people I defy anyone who stays here not to enjoy themselves - I would return tomorrow

"What more but more Apple Strudel and chocolate cake !!" We've stayed at the ideally located Hotel Cortisen for Xmas in 2003 and returned in Xmas 2004 to meet up with two other couples to sample the plentiful breakfasts before heading off on the Skibus which stops right outside the hotel to ship both skiers and non skiers upto the slopes to work off the calories by snow shoe walking suitable for all ages, messing about with snow toys(sledging) and skiing of course !! The hotel is family run and have hard working staff making your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as you would hope. Superior and Suite Rooms with superb views overlooking the lake and mountains are well furnished with everything you could need. The gym and relax rooms certainly are a lovely way to end the day !! Will certainly return and stay here again, enjoying the small town facilities with coffee shops/Xmas Midnight Mass/sleigh rides and river cruises. A few bars are open in the evenings but this resort suits couples of all ages rather than catering for the masses.

"Suberb location and service" We have just returned from a week in the Hotel Cortisen and we can not say enough postive things about this hotel. The hotel is family owned and is right by the lake side. The room we had was on the first floor and was light and well decorated, with a large balcony facing the stunning lake and mountains. It was spotlessly clean and our ever smiling maid cleaned it every day. The restaurant was excellent - the flood first class - and we found the restaurant staff were some of the friendliest we had ever met - they spoke superb English and were always keen to share a joke with us. The food was very good - very Austrian - 5 courses if you include a salad bar - and a choice of 3 main courses. The soups were delicious, as were the sweets ......... hence my expanding waist line. The hotel is located in the centre of town - near to the lake, and within a 5 minute walk of the shops. The Pro Travel Office is next door - that is where everyone hires their skis of organises trips so it is perfect. You are also a very short 5 minute walk from the promenade. The hotel is becoming an adults only hotel in May, but I fail to see why this should cause any problems -there are many hotels in the rest of the world that are classed as 'Couples Only' and apparently bookings have soared for the Summer. One tip if you want to go to the Cortisen - they have some superb suites and I am not sure if they are available through the UK travel agents ----- try booking a standard room and then contacting the manager directly on their web site and he may offer you an upgrade via them. Very classy! Rather than go on and on, just to end by saying that we looked at the other hotels in that area and found none better ---- I would be surprised if anyone who used the Cortisen came away disappointed.
