Excellent -the best we have stayed at
Excellent.Excellent.Excellent.We own a small 5 Star hotel in the UK and we expect high standards- the Costa Adeje Gran achieves these and more ! We would not have been 12 times if it did not. The Gran is a very impressive hotel with every facility you would need during the day and evening. There are many comfortable areas to relax in during the evening with bars and entertainment. The rooms are excellent ,very spacious and like the rest of the hotel spotlessly clean. There are 3 pools ,one heated and a 4th rooftop pool. The pool areas are spacious with many sunbeds and umbrellas-no problem in getting them as the hotel does not allow them to be reserved which is good. The main restaurants, poolside resturant and snack bars serve high quality food and there is plenty of choice. The staff are excellent, very well trained and many have been with the hotel since it opened which is a good sign. The maids are really good, the technical staff will sort out minor issues quickly, the bar and resturant staff are helpful and polite and the reception staff are the best we have found in any hotel with excellent language skills and very helpful. The management of the hotel are the best we have met, they go out of their way to meet guests and ensure they have a good holiday. The hotel is also thinking of the environment as it is one of the first we have been to source its energy needs by using solar energy. If you want a relaxing holiday in one of the best hotels on the island we fully recommend the Costa Adeje Gran and have done so to many friends.

"Great hotel in great part of Tenerife"
We were looking for a hotel for a four night break in Tenerife where we could relax and recharge the batteries. I did much research on hotels in Tenerife. You cannot go wrong with Adeje as a resort if you
like an upmarket and quiet place. It is mainly 4 and 5 star hotels with nearly all of the large hotel chains being represented. It has a very nice feeling. This hotel is just up a small hill from the sea,
about a 5 minute walk and the same distance to a new shopping arcade with a mix of some very exclusive shops and some more reasonably priced. There are restaurants and other shops all within easy walking
distance. The hotel is very grand on arrival with an impressive reception area, it is HUGE! The reception staff were pleasant. Our room was not ready on arrival so we received a fee drink in the bar while waiting. The porter took our luggage to the room (although we had to wait around 30 minutes for this to arrive). Room very spacious
and clean, had a great view of the pool and coud see the sea. Bathroom was large with two sinks, maybe looking a little tired in places but was very clean. Meals in the standard buffet restaurant were great. I am very fussy about food but there was plenty of choice. At breakfast and evening meal you could have a choice of food freashly cooked by the chef. They had a great selection for breakfast and dinner. Salad bar was great. I have four children and although they did not come on this trip I would definately feel comfortable taking them to this hotel. Pool area was lovely and clean, only negative like with many hotels is that you have to put a towel out early to get a sunbed, although it does say in the hotel rules that you should not do it. There is a good snack bar by the pool with a good menu. There was early kids entertainment followed by good adult entertainment in the evening. All in all this was perfect for what we were looking for. For Tenerfie the accomodation and location was great. I am generally very fussy about cleanliness and food hygeine and we picked a good one here. Have already recommended to others.

"very good hotel - not near the beach"
I liked this hotel a lot. Its not "luxury" (if that´s possible in a 5* hotel) but is a very good hotel. I didn´t have any problem with the room (perflectly clean, well assorted and decorated -ok, and again not "luxury") I liked the hotel, the pool area and everything... my kids loved the miniclub (really mini) but they had fun trying the fancy dresses and playing... the only con it´s a bit far from the beach, specially because the hotel is uphill. I´d recommend it and hope to come back.

"Great Value"
I haven't really got any complaints about the hotel, especially considering we paid the equivalant of a travel lodge/Ibis hotel. As mentioned previously it probably isn't five star but it's definately good quality and I would visit again.
The room was spacious and very clean. The towels and robes were a bit tired but appeared to be clean.
Whilst away it was my husbands birthday, it was a really nice touch to return to our room and find a chilled bottle of plonk and a small box of chocolates provided FOC.
After reading a couple of reviews before booking we decided to book on a BB basis only as most of the negatives seemed to be relating to the food. I am pleased we did this as there are some great places to eat if you choose carefully. Breakfast was the usual buffet with plenty of choice. As mentioned by another Trip Advisor it didnt seem to be a problem if you wanted to 'upgrade' yourself to include your lunch by taking a few bits from the breakfast sitting.
I loved the location as we enjoy having a walk in the evening, which worked out great pre/post meal. There is a lovely promenade that goes on for miles in both directions. This isn't an area for people who can't walk far as there are some quite steep hills and it is generally very up and down.
Overall had a great time and would recommend.
