"well furnished, spotless "
Courthouse Kempinski Hotel's location was perfect with taxi's on demand outside. The breakfasts were really stunning. The rooms were particularly well furnished, spotless and the bed was really comfortable.

"was fine"
Courthouse Kempinski Hotel's room was fine - 6ft bed, spacious for London (about 40sq mtr), decent bathroom with robes and toiletries and a mist free mirror. Nice view (not) of the back of the Palladium but a super sash window that opened!
Downside was the tiny wardrobe, anyone travelling from overseas for a few days would struggle to get more than a few shirts in there and there was no other hanging space.
Check in was efficient and polite.

Courthouse Kempinski, London
Being the first time my wife and I had ever stayed in a 5 star hotel it was nice to go to a hotel with such pleasant - friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel room itself was very well presented, clean and tidy. They say they have the best beds in London and we support that claim! The buffet breakfast was amazing, everything and anything you could think of was available and more.
The hotel itself is virtually opposite Carnaby Street, through there to Soho, Shaftesbury Avenue - theatre land and China town, an excellent location very quiet but in the centre of London. We thoroughly recommend the hotel and it's staff. |

Excellent!
My wife and I stayed for one night at the Courthouse. The location is superb! 1 minute from both Oxford and Regent Street, opposite Carnaby street and seconds from Libertys and the Palladium Theatre. The hotel was lovely and remained character from when it was previously a Magistrates Court. The service was excellent, very prompt and attentive from the second we arrived to the second we left. The room was spacious and spotless with the most enormous comfortable bed! The bathroom was spotless with piping hot water. The bar has a lovely intimate atmosphere. We would certainly recommend this hotel and are already planning our next visit. |

Superb Hotel
Stayed at this hotel as I was seeing a show at The Palladium. Fantastic position as the theatre is right next door! Carnaby Street is opposite the hotel, generally in a really good area but not at all noisy. From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the staff who were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is immaculate, with masses of style and history. Contemporary but with loads of original features retained. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The bed must get a special mention.. supremely comfortable. Best nights sleep I have had in years! The breakfast which was included in our room rate was superb and all tastes were catered for. Overall I cannot rate this experience highly enough and we will definatly return. |

A great experience !
My son and I stayed 2 nights at this very fine hotel , 3 walking minutes away from Oxford Circus tube station.
The experience was marvelous ! At 1st , I was a little worried because the price on GTA.COM was so affordable , compared to other websites , so I thought it would probably either be a spare room , or maybe even the whole place would be under construction !
Not in the least ! Beautiful building , very nice hall , wonderfully decorated , with not one lousy detail to it !
The twin bedroom was quite big compared to any other London hotel I've experienced , very clean .Two closets , (not very big , but enough for a 2 to 4 nights stay , I should say) , a safe in the bedroom , flatscreen TV , a plug for computers , very good lights ....the mattress was a little too soft for me ,but my son loved it !
Absolutely no view from our window-room 302- , but heavenly quietness at night , which is probably priceless in the middle of such a big city.
In the gorgeous and big bathroom , a nice tub , lots of towels , and robes and slippers even .
Now , there is one great advantage for staying at the Courthouse Kempinski : in the basement , there's a spa , where you could get any type of massage , a little swimming pool and a sauna.
We used the pool ,(no windows of course ) , and found it absolutely terrific after wandering so many hours throughout town.
You can then take a shower down there , they have all the requested towels and toiletries , then jump back in your robe and slippers and take the elevator back up without having to walk accross the lobby , of course!
Breakfast was very good : scrambled eggs (no other kind could be seen , but maybe if we'd have asked..?) , sausages , baked beans , kippers , smoked salmon , waffles , fresh fruit juices , lots of different fresh fruits , cereals , jams , belgian tiny waffles , several types of breads and pastries...all served in a nice and comfortable sitting area.
But the one thing we enjoyed most was definitely the way we were welcomed and helped by everyone who worked there and helped us in one way or another : at check in , then the bell boy , the concierge , the lady in charge of the third floor , the young person at the spa , the waittresses whom attended us at breakfast , the check out even was fast and pleasant.
These people all seemed happy and proud to work for the Courthouse Kempinski , we thought them very professionnal and friendly , although they never were familiar.
This is , according to both my son's point of view and my own, the greatest luxury we could expect : to feel welcome during the total lenght of our too short stay !
Besides that , the hotel is very convenient when you come from Heathrow : the Heathrow Express took us to Paddington in 30 mns (a 15mns ride , plus another previous 15 mns to get there from Terminal 2 , buy our tickets , and get on) , and then it took us 15 more minutes to travel by tube and check in !
We found this very convenient, since we live in Paris , were you usually can't jump out of a plane and be in your hotel room in less then an hour !
The hotel faces the mythic Carnaby Street , and there's a real wonderful typical pub right accross the street : the Shakespeare's Head .
The greatest shops and department stores are in the close area (Liberty !), and it's also a very convenient area for anyone who would enjoy watching a play , you'll find theatres are very close .
We both highly recommend the Courthouse Kempinski to anyone , families , businessmen, and trendy crowds .
I won't say a word about the restaurants or the bar , since we didn't try them , though they looked brilliant , but we had other options !
I shall definitely go back whenever I go back to London again. |
