Our most recent visit was July 27th 08. The mattress pad on the bed was something that should be in a nursing home, plastic, uncomfortable and noisy. The "armoire" hid the television and replaced the area to place your bag. The carpeting was filthy. All together a terrible experience.

"Would definitely stay here again!"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We requested a room on a higher floor and we were given a room on the top floor with an awesome view. It faced the courtyard and was very nice and clean. The freeway was easily accessible and nearby. We never heard any outside noise. Parking was convenient and free. The pool was closed so we didn't get to use it, but the wireless internet access in the room was very easy to hook up. The rate was not fantastic, but it was ok. I would definitely stay here again.

"Nice Stay"
Without our asking, the staff upgraded our room from a king with sofa bed to two queens with a mountainside view to better accommodate our granddaughter. The room was spacious and clean, the restaurant food was very good, and we'd stay here again. Excellent for the price.

"Southwest Feel"
I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott at Journal Center for two nights on July 21 and 22. Since this was a very quick trip to New Mexico I wanted a hotel that would give me the feel of being in the Southwest, rather than a generic chain or a convention type hotel. This Marriott delivered. It is build in adobe style around a central courtyard with a fountain. It is only two stories on one side and three stories on the other. My room was on the courtyard side and was peaceful and very comfortable. The hotel is essentially adjacent to the highway and with a courtyard room you would never know. They have a very indoor pool, however they can open all the door so you have the feel of being outdoors without the baking sun. The staff was very friendly as well. Overall this was a very pleasant stay.
