"great hotel"
We ended our trip to NY at this hotel, staying here the last 2 nights. I booked the online price with no refund. Got a suite - king size bed with a sofa and table. The bed was soft and comfortable. The goose down pillows were soft, but I don't really like goose down pillows anyways. The room is huge with plenty of space for luggage. Everything was clean and nice. The E, V, and 6 train station is just right outside making it easy to get places. There's a Pharmacy next door if you forgot any personal items, and there's an Au Bon Pain right across the street for cheap breakfast pastries and coffee. I loved this hotel stay.

"Unbelievable hotel"
Stayed there for three nights....Jan 4, 5, and 6 of 2007....just came back to Orlando. Everything about this hotel was perfect. BIG CLEAN ROOMS, friendly staff, exceptional service. Great value. I highly recommend this hotel to EVERYONE and I will be staying here again when I return to the city.

"great hotel great location"
This hotel was fantastic. Everybody told us the rooms were very small in NYC...not our room. We were on the top floor of the hotel with two queen beds and plenty of room...we even had our own foyer!!
The room had damp carpet when we checked in. I called downstairs to find out what it was and was told the carpet had just been cleaned and for that inconvenience tomorrows breakfast was on the house!!
The front desk staff were all incredibly friendly. This hotel is situated in a very good location. Not far from Times Square, Empire State, United Nations etc.
There is a great Brooks bookstore a few doors up and most days we had breakfast at Azure on 51st and 3rd (around $15 for four people for breakfast) and many evenings had some soup or pasta at any one of the Cafe Metro's in town...particularly the one on 51st and Lexington...these cafes are both within 2 mins walk from the hotel.
At $169 per night for the middle of NYC...We think it was great value for money and a great home away from home for four Australians at Christmas time....
STAY THERE!!!

"Nice hotel with a friendly staff"
I stayed at the Courtyard Manhattan East while on business in NYC during May 2006. The staff was helpful and very friendly throughout my stay. I paid $239 per night. There were freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk each afternoon. My room was an average sized and very clean, appearing to be recently remodeled. Like another person said, there is a bit of noise from 3rd Ave. (I was on the 17th floor) but not enough to keep a sound sleeper like me awake. The subway is very close. NOTE: Don't be afraid of the subway! It is VERY easy to navigate, maps at the entrance of stations and you can always ask someone. $7 a day on the subway is a great deal. Your feet may be sore after all of that walking. I will stay here again.

"Great location and hotel"
Stayed here over the weekend July 21-23. Very convenient location (a short walk to shopping on Madison or Fifth Avenues), the Duane Reade drugstore right next door is open 24 hours (great for snacks for the room). Clean room, nice size, good shower/water pressure, comfortable bed (we had a king), perfect for a weekend away. Reception desk was great, the bellman arranged a car to and from the airport (I called in advance to arrange airport pick-up), very courteous staff all around. They even offer free coffee/tea on the 12th floor. Don't hesitate to stay here.

"Hotel is Very Nice and in a Great Location"
We were redeeming some Marriott points and were supposed to originally stay at the new Courtyard Inn in the upper east side. The opening of the hotel was delayed so we were moved to the Midtown East property.
This turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We really liked the hotel and the location was excellent.
We took the Airtrain from JFK to the Jamaica Subway Terminal. From there we took the subway directly to the hotel. (The hotel is a few feet from the subway station)
We were on a high floor and we thought the rooms were very nice. We never heard our neighbors and no street noise. Included with our package was a made to order breakfast each morning. This was really nice because it started our day with a nice meal.
We walked to Central Park, 5th Avenue, Times Square, and most of the sites. We also purchased a 7 day subway pass for $24 which allowed us unlimited use of the subway for the week.
We stayed at the property for 7 days and would highly recommend it.
