Nice hotel, bad locale
Hotel and amenities were very nice--clean rooms, good breakfast. HOWEVER, the hotel is situated in a bad neighborhood that is not really near Fisherman's Wharf (site indicated it was IN Fisherman's Wharf). We were extremely nervous walking home at night and at one point, someone came up to us from behind, then said, "Don't worry folks, I won't mug a family." Staff was also not extremely knowledgable with area information regarding public transportation, restaurants, etc.--one employee recommended Subway when we asked if there was anywhere nice to eat nearby. |
