"Get what you pay for at this place." I needed a hotel for one night in Nice for as cheap as possible, and this fit the bill. Found a good price on one of the discount web sites. The hotel has little offer other than a bed, a toilet and a shower. It is very bare bones, and if I were treking around as a student, this would be a nice place to stay. Don't expect ambiance, appointed decor, or spacious rooms if you stay here. Basically, you'll get what you pay for at this place.

"Good,cheap no frills hotel" The Hotel Crillon is a very basic, no frills hotel. The rooms were very clean. The was bathroom compact but again clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. It is in an excellent location for the beach, shops and railway station. All in all I had a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay there again.

"very good price." Crillon is in a very good location, not too far at all from the beach or old city. The staff was friendly - after arriving at 8:30 am on the night train the woman at the desk found that there was a room ready and allowed me to check in early. The facilities were simple yet clean - all I really needed at a very good price.

"In the heart of Nice" The hotel was fine for a 2 star. The people were helpful and pleasant. The best thing about the hotel was the location, just right off of the Avenue Jean Medicin in the heart of Nice. It is very close to the beach and the old city. There was no parking garage, though, but that was the only drawback.

"central location" The hotel is in a very convenient central location only a few minutes walk from train, bus and airport link. The old town and sea are within ten minutes walking, and the main shops even closer. The new tram line when finished will be just around the corner. The room wasn't huge, as you would expect with a budget hotel, but it was big enough and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a comfortable size, and had a hair drier. The separate shower was large and powerful. The room was serviced daily and kept clean and tidy. The hotel is on a busy street but the double glazing was very effective and cut out all noise. The tall windows can be opened to reveal beautiful traditional french louvred shutters which worked. The air conditioning was flexible and efficient. Can't comment on the breakfast because we had all our meals out. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Any negatives? No. For a budget hotel it was excellent and we were were very happy with our choice. We will certainly book it again if we come back to Nice.

"It is very French" If you are looking for a budget hotel in Nice then I don't think that you could do much better than book here. The rooms were clean and reasonably quiet. The air-conditioning was adequate and the staff were friendly and very capable. The one thing to look out for is the lift (elevator) as it is a real experience, apparently it is very French.

"Friendly staff" Good enough hotel. Not too far from Nice city centre. Friendly staff. Good choice of restaurants in the local vicinity. A lot of construction was happening in the city which disrupted us somewhat but the hotel was fine.
