Crown Resorts Elamaris is located in Pernera Square, 300m from the sandy beach at the Pernera Cove, only 3km from Protaras town centre. Next to the resort there are many shops, bars and restaurants. There is a bus stop right next to the Hotel with frequent bus service.

"If they're happy, I am happy"
I never did a Thomson Superamily before - but I will in future! The Kidzone, headed up by 'Amazing Allan' was a huge treat with my 3 & 8 yo kids. 2-4 hours a day of entertainment + the poolside activities at night meant they were never bored, and we got time for ourselves. Allan et al treated them as individuals and the kids thrived on their well organised events, drop-ins etc.
The hotel was OK. dated furniture and a 'cooker' that never really got hot but we got past all that. It was a bit noisy at night, but we kept the fan running o low and were never disturbed. The food was good but predictable. We ate out at the many local and varied restaurants nearby - all with great value set meals and wonderful meat and fish mezes! The pool was great and we never had a problem getting a sun lounger.
We did the waterworld park in Ayia Napa and it was excellent. No QUEUES! all rides bar one were open and it was a hot day. What more could you ask?
We really enjoyed our time, but feel Thomson excursions are not good value compared to shopping around the 2-3 travel shops near the hotel.
We never went to Protaris as we loved the wee beach at Penera 5 mins walk away from hotel. Great snorkel, scuba and sandy beach.
Will highly recommend Elamaris and Cyprus. Lovely - unless you like things really classy and fancy!!
