"Highly recommended"
Fantastic hotel. This hotel is newly renovated and is gorgeous. The rooms are a good size and the bedding was especially comfortable. It's in a great location to visit the old city. We loved our stay there and highly recommend it.

"Beautiful city, very relaxing"
Spent one night in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bratislava on 16th January. Arrived at 11.00 a.m. and checked in immediately to club level floor. Beautiful room to front of hotel overlooking Presidential Palace. Wonderful hotel with excellent facilities, very quiet as was the city. Executive club facilities were ok but no hot food in the evenings although breakfast was very satisfactory.

"Spectacular chain hotel"
This spacious luxury hotel is nothing short of spectacular. While it is arguably still a chain hotel, it succeeds in having some personality and flair. The standard rooms are very roomy, despite the location across from the presidential palace and a short walk from the historic center. While Bratislava may not be the ultimate European city to visit, staying at the Crowne Plaza might compensate for any disappointment with the city.
The design of both the lobby and the rooms of this newly renovated hotel is minimalistic and may come across a little sterile, but it is quite stylish nonetheless. One of the best things about the Crowne Plaza is the breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Make sure to try the chocolate pudding!
That said, the staff wasn't always as friendly and/or helpful as we would have liked, but I have encountered this so much that I now consider this to be a general rule in Central and, to an extent, Eastern Europe. Another drawback is that the fitness room and pool require an access fee, but it is well worth the money. Internet, on the other hand is free (even if you don't bring your own laptop).
I would highly recommend a stay at the Crowne Plaza in Bratislava, because of its excellent value for money; however, don't expect a boutique hotel!

"Modern Hotel, Good Location"
I am from the US, and my business trip to Bratislava was my first visit ever to Europe. I really enjoyed my stay. The city and hotel were a lot more modern than I had expected. The Crowne Plaza is a good location across from the Presidential Palace and just a few blocks from the entrance to old town. I found the staff to be very friendly (and fluent in English). The restaurant was quite good although a little expensive for the area. There is free wireless internet in the hotel bar (along with great coffee and punch/hot wine!). The hotel gym is super nice with an indoor pool, sauna, and solarium. Overall, it's a pretty swanky hotel, and I would recommend staying here.
