"Great modern hotel in the centre of Bruges"
The Crowne Plaza is a large, modern hotel situated in Burg square in the centre of Bruges. An impressive reception leads through to the hotel bar and the conservatory-style De Linde restaurant where breakfast is served. When we arrived we found the staff (as with most Belgians we met) spoke fantastic english and were pleasant and efficient.
Our room was on the second floor which could be accessed by any one of 3 lifts. The room itself was small but very clean with a modern bathroom and tv with several english channels. Towels, bathrobes and tea/coffee making facilities were provided and complimentary water, chocolate, shampoo and soaps were replenished daily. On the eighth floor of the hotel is a small pool, excercise room and sauna, while in the basement are the ruins of an old church found when building the hotel.
A buffet style breakfast was served from 6.30-10.30am and included hot food, cereal, fruit, yoghurts and pastries. Staff were helpful and more than happy to keep us topped up with tea, coffee or hot chocolate. We had breakfast included as part of our package, and this is really the only way i would recommend as the usual price is 21 Euros per person, and although the food was excellent it would be difficult to eat enough to justify this price!
Burg square is right in the centre of Bruges, and once you have navigated your suitcase along the cobbled streets from the train station (about 20 mins), we were never more than a few minutes walk from the main restaurants and chocolate shops.

Great hotel with superb location in the heart of town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Would stay here again.

"This is how to relax!"
I have enjoyed this hotel in April and in September 2006 and always have found the staff helpful & cooperative!
The pool is ideal for relaxing after some severe lace and chocolate shopping as well as beers for my Sons in Law!
The breakfast choice is 5*+ and the restaurant gourmet class!
In Market Square and elsewhere the choice of food and beverages is exquisite!
The general shopping too has some interesting choices!
Many staff throughout Brugge speak many languages, and creates a wonder relaxed atmosphere despite our inability to adjust and learn more of the language(s)!
Never doubted the quality or the service!
I am fortunate to be staying there yet again from 11 to 14th February (3 nights) 2007
