Crowood Hotel Reception Manager could be doing with some proper training on Customer Service.The Stairs and hall leading to the bedrooms could be doing with re-decorating and new carpet.The bedroom was good the Bed excellent cant fault it there.The Dining Room and meals faultless waiting on Staff very helpful and pleasant .Breakfast choice excellent .It is just a pity that the manager let them all down.

Disappointed On 23/07/2006 I received a mail confirming my reservation for a triple room in this hotel from 04/08/2006 to 06/08/2006. Upon arrival at 11.00 am we were informed that we could not check in until 2.00 pm. As we had hired a car my partner enquired whether we could head off and return at a later stage to check in. We were informed that that would be no problem and that there would be someone in reception until 11.00 pm. I just wanted to verify if they hada room booked under my name and i asked if they could verify this. Unfortunately, after about 5 minutes checking I was informed that they held no booking in my name. I informed them that i held a prepaid accommodation form and a confirmation status but they again stated that the room may have been given to other guests. I found this very hard to believe as we had turned up 3 hours early to check in. She rang several hotels and she eventually got a hotel for us but our room would be over the Function Room and there was a wedding there on the friday and saturday night. As we were left with no other option we had to take this room. The hotel which accommodated us was a not a very good hotel and the staff were in no way accommodating. the room was cramped and a simple matter of taking a shower was a problem. While we did enjoy our holiday in scotland I am sorry to say that we were very disappointed in the accommodation and it took from our enjoyment. I will be writing to the manager of the Crowwood Hotel with the same complaint. Yours Mark Bunbury

"A Wonderful Experience" The staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. City centr is just a short walk as is the town center. I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again!
