"Good bargan"
I have stayed at this hotel over 7 times in the last 3 months.
Staff are excelent and friendly.
Location is great with a supermarket (With Bureau de Change) next door and the best shopping centre in Bogota 3 blocks away.
Plenty of good restaurants within 2 blocks try Archies pizza for great pizza or Winners for great diner type food! Area is a very safe zone and walking even at night time is no problem.
Rooms are large and fairly quiet.

"Great Value for the Price"
I stayed at the Hotel Dann Norte for 4 nights. I selected this hotel because there was absolutely nothing else available. This was the 4th hotel I had stayed at in Bogota, and at $70 per night plus tax, it was by far the least expensive.
The hotel was conveniently located with several restaurants and a really nice supermarket with Pharmacy only a few doors down. The staff was friendly, willing to help when asked, but not smothering you with attention.
Buffet breakfast, included in the room rate, was good, but limited in selection. Eggs were available cooked to order, and the restaurant staff - at times inattentative (to coffee refills, e.g.) would go out of their way to help.
The room was clean and very spacious, but seemed very old and dated. The bathroom looked recently renovated.
For anyone looking to stay some place safe and cheap with all the amenities (including wireless internet at $8.00 per day), I would recommend the Dann Norte. If you are looking for luxury and can afford to spend more, look elsewhere.
I would stay here again for the location alone.

"What a deal"
Being a first time gringa in Colombia I was a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of picking a hotel in Colombia. I stayed at 3 different hotels during my 10 days in Colombia and the Dann Norte was the one well worth the surprisingly inexpensive price I paid. It was comfortable, well staffed, in a fun yet safe part of Bogota, and close to a large grocery store. I'm definitely going to stay there when I go back!
