"Great location" Choose this hotel for the location! The Danube is situated next to the river and 2 minutes walk from Old Town / Down Town. If possible ask for a room in the corner of the building facing the river - this way you get a view of the river, the castle and the St. Martins Church. In my opinion the rooms need a face lift, but other wise the hotel is fine. Rooms and hotel in general is clean. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Overall service in the hotel is also good.

"Excellent Danube" This is an exceptional 4 satar hotel on the Danube. Very efficient and friendly staff the hotel enjoys an excellent location within walking distance to the town and river front. The rooms are large and well air conditioned. For hotel of this quality eating and drinks are very good value however cheap restaurants and bars are plenty in this capital.

"'Ditto' Great Location" Stayed at the Danube 27th to 30th April, booked through Sky Europe great deal approx Ł200 pp 3 nights Hotel(BB) & Flight, dont book the transfer from the airport we got stung taxis will be there and are cheap approx 600-700Kr, as per previous reviews great breakfast but they allow smoking in the restaurant (there is a non smiking side!!!! I smoke but personally found this very off putting but it is not just there it is acceptable everywhere, rooms where basic & clean although the room we had was at the side of the hotel & our view was the side of the Devin Hotel it was very very noisy request a room at the front, back or side facing the bridge. Lots to do & all within walking distance. Must recommend the El Gaucho restaurant opposite hotel entrance (Argentinean) the steaks were amazing also Traja Musketieri food great & it was a fun evening they tie a very large serviette around you neck & make you put on Musketeer hats!!! generally we found food cheap but imported wine very expensive. Will definately return to Bratislava but would like to try the Carlton next time

"Excellent Hotel - Highly recommended" The Hotel Danube is situated on the river near to the quaint, historic centre of Bratislava.Ideal for business travellers the hotel has superb business facilities on the ground and executive floors which are free to occupants of business rooms. Its proximity to pedestrianised areas, cafes, bars and local shops is a major bonus and a short stroll takes you into the heart of the old city. Prices are much cheaper than nearby Vienna - taxis, meals, drinks and giftware at a fraction of the cost by comparison to its more expensive neighbour.Slovakians are friendly and welcoming and there is an air of security present throughout the city - no problems for casual strollers - tourist or local. This hotel is superbly managed - very good staff, bright and modern rooms with all you would expect from a French managed establishment. Very good value for money - good reastaurant, excellent breakfast and leisure facilities.Highly recommended.

"perfect location!" Location of hotel really couldn't be better, right in heart of the city & as city is so compact is really easy to explore! Room was nice and comfortable with good bathroom. Bratislava is a really lovely city and a great place to spend a couple of days & would recommend this hotel as a pefect base!

"Super Danube Hotel" This hotel is superb a great location. The staff could not do enough for us day or night. The room was very comfortable with all you could possibly need. The breakfast was super 5***** for all diets and a tremendous choice too much! Attentive breakfast staff you only had to empty your plate and it was gone! Well recommended would go back ANYTIME
