"Excellent Hotel"
Stayed at the Hotel du Neuville for 4 nights between July 20th & the 24th 2006, got a excellent rate on Expedia.co.uk 4 nights for the price of 3.
Location was very good about a 15mins walk from the top of the Champs Elysees / Arc de Triomphe & about 5mins walk from the Metro Stations of Pereire & Wagram, for anyone who's not been to Paris before use the Metro to get around the city its by far the quickest & cheapest method of transport, i was amazed how easy it was to use.
Checkin was quick and easy all done within the space of 5 minutes.
Front desk is manned 24hrs aday and every member of staff i encountered where most helpful with any queries i had.
Rooms where of a decent size with 2 good sized twin beds, built in wardrobe, bedside table & a desk, room had a portable colour TV but all the channels are in French, a English speaking channel like CNN or Sky News would have been nice, room decore was also very good the room always felt clean & fresh, bathroom is a little on the small side but on the whole was perfectly adequate for what i needed it for.
Housekeeping came around everyday and the room was always made clean and tidy, bathroom was cleaned and restocked everyday as well with towels, soaps, shower gels ect ect.
Breakfast was included in the price of my stay which consisted of cereals, fruit juice, yogurt, breadrolls a selection of meats & cheeses plus tea or coffee.
Just a word of warning this hotel isnt wheelchair friendly and i wouldnt recommeded it for wheelchair users.
On the whole i had a excellent 4 nights in this hotel and will be useing the hotel again the next time im in Paris

"Superb little gem!"
Well, you can be assured that all the other reviewers on this website who have stopped at the hotel are absolutely 110% telling truth when they say it's a fabulous little hotel!
I have stopped in many hotels across the world, from self-catering apartments, to 3* hotels, upwards to 5* luxury hotels, and what you get here with this 3* accommodation is worthy of an extra plus after the rating.
The hotel is in a very quiet and safe residential area and we didn't witness or hear anything untoward going on at night which was great, as it meant I didn't need my earplugs!
The hotel rooms were clean and more than adequate in size, in fact, spacious as far as Paris hotel rooms go which are renouned for being a bit on the small side. We were luckily enough to get a room at the front of the hotel with spectacular views of the Sacre Ceur (think I've spelt that wrong, sorry). But we did email the hotel in advance to request such a room so it's worth doing tha if you get chance.
The staff on reception were always very helpful, very friendly and very good in the foreign tongue of English! The lady who is on the breakfast shift was nice and pleasant too, although you might need your phrase book and good hand gestures as she is very very local and therefore her English is not as good. Although it was better than our French!
Breakfast consists of the usual Parisian delights, fresh bread, cheese, cold meats, fruits, cereals and yoghurts. More than enough to start the day on a good footing though, much better than feeling overstuffed with a greasy fry-up in my opinion. This was included in our reservation so I'm not sure how much it cost if you had to pay extra.
You are very well situated with regards to access to the Metro/RER, turn right out of the hotel and it's a 5 minute walk down to the large roundabout. Which is also an excellent area for bistros/bars/restaurants. If you like A La Carte/contemporary eating, then you must try Balthazar situed on avenue Niel, one of the streets off the roundabout. Beautiful food, beautiful atmosphere. I have added a photo but I'm afraid it's a bit blurred, but you might get the gist of it.
So if you're thinking of where to stay in Paris (and this was my 2nd visit) and I can thoroughly recommend here, I will most definitely be booking in to the hotel Neuville on my next visit.
Have fun!
