Great hotel...
We recently stayed at the Delta Sun Peaks, and found the hotel to be wonderful. We actully found it to be a little out of place for a small resort such as Sun Peaks, but after a long ride from Whistler it was exactly what we needed! The entrance to the hotel is elegant, in marble and dark wood. Our room was quite large with a HUGE balcony overlooking the town square and the ski slopes. We found the food in the hotel to be very good, as well as the service. The pool area was also very spacious, with a very large pool and three outdoor hot tubs.
One note the road to Sun Peaks is a narrow and winding one, that I would not want to drive at night, its roughly 31 km from Kamloops off Highway 5 and there is not much between HWY 5 and Sun Peaks. My suggestion is if you are not familiar with the area, get there before dark, as we did see several deer on/near the road.
Overall review is this is a jewel of a hotel! |

Winter Happiness
My Husband and I have jsut returned from a fabulous 7 night skiing holiday in Sun Peaks, staying at the Delta. After spending close to 30hrs of travelling from Australia it was so nice to be greated by the kind and friendly staff at the Delta. If only all ski resort hotels offered the ski valet service the Delta offers. We stayed on ther Signature club level which was lovely. The only thing the Club level lacked in, compared to other "Club" floors that I have stayed on, is that you have to pay for all alcholic drinks, and is based on a honour system so you can get a bit of a shock when checking out. Other than that, the bar staff are lovely, the food at is great and it's location is fantastic. |
