Within the vicinity of the Deniz kizi Royal Hotel are a handful of bars, shops and restaurants. Local buses (dolmus) run along the coast from Alsancak. Services are limited so if you want to explore the rest of upospolt North Cyprus then you will need to hire a car.

The popular Escape beach with its good range of watersports, restaurant and a nightclub is within reach of Alsancak. There is an entry fee for Escape beach....

Head to the town of Kyrenia (Girne) and enjoy a meal at one of the many harbour side restaurants. Kyrenia castle overlooks the harbour and is also home to the Shipwreck museum. From the harbour you can take a daily boat trip and enjoy the coastline of North Cyprus. There are a handful of large clubs in Kyrenia and most attract European DJ's during the summer months.
