"A beautiful hotel!"
My son and I visited 7 countries in Europe and this was our favourite hotel. It was very convenient to the train station and we were very warmly welcomed when we walked in. Our room was huge - we even had a vestibule! The room was nice and cool but they very thoughtfully provided a fan for us without asking.
The hotel is close to everything. We didn't need to use any public transportation as the hotel is close to everything by foot and it would be a shame to miss the things that we passed as we walked.
The hotel restaurant is very charming. The Weinerschnitzel that I had was wonderful and the morning buffet was very fresh and healthy.
I would definately stay at this hotel again. If you want to experience Austria at its best, stay here!

"Europes most beautiful city"
Everything about this Hotel is first class, the staff are so helpful in every respect. My wife and I arrived about 10 am on the 7th November 2006, off -season true but our room was immediately available, indeed an upgrade to a Mozart Suite was a pleasant surprise. Hotel is 2 minutes from main station and about 15 minutes walk to the old town, Trolleybuses are available if you prefer at 1.80 euro fare. Same fare applies to the Airport if you don't wish to use a taxi. Hotel breakfast is included (hot and cold large display) and restaurant is very nice. We were quite sad to leave on Saturday 11th. We strongly recommend this delightful Hotel to everybody. Please note the Hotel changes it's name to the Salzburger Hof Hotel in January 2007 to more reflect it's base.

"Amazing City - Pleasant Hotel"
As all the other reviews the hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff are very polite and willing to help you with anything. The hotel is very close to the train station, walk into the old town is only 10/15mins, but you don't notice as your always looking at the shops and small markets along the way. Salzburg is an amazing city, lots of shops selling amazing cakes and chocolates. We went just as the Christmas stalls and markets started (20th Nov - 24th Dec), the food and drink are top class. Defo recommend the hotel and city!

"wonderful hotel"
Very nice hotel, with nice location. Only minutes from the railwaystation and 5 minutes to beautiful old town. Staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast buffet is unbelievable!
