Diamante Suites Hotel was inaugurated in 2001 and belongs to a hotel chain called GEMA hotels. This chain owns another five hotels, 3 of them in the north of the island and two in the south of the island. |

LOCATION
Diamante Suites Hotel is located in the north of the island at the Urbanizacion Turquesa Playa, one fo the most privileged areas of Puerto de la Cruz and only 300 m away from Playa Jardin, a beautiful black sand beach, the result of the last eruption of the mount Teide in the XV century and created by the famous canarian artist “Cesar Manrique”. The hotel is perfectly situated for the rest of the island, as well as the capital Santa Cruz, as there is a bus station nearby.

"A first class hotel"
I recently spent two weeks in this spacious, immaculate and well-run hotel. The rooms, which are suites are large, indeed with TV sets in both the lounge and bedroom,and offering channels in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. Two outside pools, one for infants, have pleasant and confortable loungers. The food is superb with meat and fish fried for you, as you request at the servery. Spanish champagne type wine was available at breakfast several times a week. The staff are helpful and friendly and the bar is not expensive and the evening entertainment is good.The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep slope, which could be a disadvantage,however a very frequent mini-bus runs every few minutes until about 2100 from the sister hotel, the Turquesa Playa, which, in my opinion, is not as nice as the Mirador. The hotel provides lovely views to Mt Teide and also the sea and every suite has a nice balcony providing a view of the mountain, the sea or both.A lovely, friendly hotel with superb facilities and staff and well worth a visit. I shall certainly be going again.
