Enjoyed my recent stay at Diana. Maybe not the best location in Rome but priced right. Staff very helpful.

"Roof top garden excellent"
Despite previous reviews we loved staying in this hotel and would certainly recommend it to everyone. It's only a few minutes walk away from the station where you can easily catch tours to see all the sights. There are also plenty of restraunts and shops near by we would recommend the one right next door Est Est Est which made a lovley steak and also the cafe' opposite. Our room was very spacious and clean and staff were lovley. The best thing about the hotel though was the roof top garden it was beautiful with stunning views of St Peters and the city, the perfect place to be on a night. One waiter especially Franco on the roof top garden gave service that was never below excellent and made our time there thouroughly enjoyable. We are already planning our return.

"Loved the Diana"
Our second stay at the Hotel Diana in Rome was better than our first. Our room was larger and the air conditioning ran for most of the day and kept the room comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and accessible. The Diana is located within walking distance of the Plaza Republica and several major churches. It's about a mile to the Coleseum and the Forums, but an easy and worthwhile walk. I like clean rooms with working plumbing and we were not disappointed. However, like most European hotels there were not screens on the windows (Americans beware. Opening windows could invite mosquitoes, flies, etc.) Even though we booked through an on-line agency we got a recently remodeled room. People should be aware that room sizes and designs vary because the Diana is an old European style hotel. However, again, it's rooms were clean and comfortable and well worth the price. I give the Diana Four Stars and would recommend it to anyone.

"Great stay"
Stayed at the Diana in November. Great location. Very nice, but small, room, but we weren't there much anyway. Inexpensive Internet cafe less than a block away - the Diana has i-net available in the lobby but it was down the week we were there. GREAT breakfast (included) every morning. Staff was great. Very clean hotel. we had a front-facing room with a patio, overlooking busy street below. But 6 floors up so noise wasn't a problem.

"Super Helpful and Friendly Staff"
Our first hotel in Italy, they were very helpful and friendly. We were greated with a map and highlight of the closest sites. Great location we could walk to everything and the Metro/Trian station was near by. For all the great serivce it was relatively cheap. Out of all of the breakfast buffets this was the best in Italy.

"Friendly, helpful staff"
I found the Hotel Diana staff to be very friendly and helpful. My Mother's cane was a little too big for her so they took it and sawed off a few inches and it was then perfect for her. I watched a soccer match with some of the staff in the lobby late one night which is a nice memory. There are several sidewalk cafes in the neighborhood. The rooms are perfectly fine. You have to remember that most hotels in Europe have a lot of history and not brand, spanking new. That's just part of the experience and fun of traveling in great cities such as Rome. If I ever make it back to Rome, I would probably stay at the Diana.

"Great location"
Our stay was very nice. The hotel is in a great location only a 15 min walk from the Colliseum and close to the bus station for longer trips. Many wonderful restaurants within easy walk in any direction. The breakfast wasn't the best, but I'm picky and like cold milk. The hotel staff were helpful and the rooms, although small, were clean and comfortable. The only thing I would recomment when staying here is not getting a room overlooking the road. They start sweeping the streets at 7am every morning and after a few days that got annoying. I would definitally go back to this hotel. Beautiful hotel in a great location.
