Die Port Van Cleve Hotel is situated in the centre of Amsterdam, a historical and cultural city with many historical buildings, picturesque canals and variety of museums. * Following tradition, Dutch Dishes have a place of honour on the menu. Also, no menu from the Brasserie ‘De Poort’ would be complete without the famous numbered steak. The world famous numbered steaks have been served since 1870 and come with their own numbered certificate. Besides the special steak there is also the choice from Dutch and International dishes prepared with fresh ingredients daily. The chef, Alex Batteram and his team, ensure for new dishes on the menu every two months in keeping with the tradition of using wholesome and fresh ingredients. |

(2 Bridal suites with Jacuzzi, 3 Business suites and 1 luxurious Presidential Suite). The rooms have their own character and are decorated using warm welcoming colours. All rooms have a safety deposit box, Internet connection, Telephone with direct dial, TV with in-house movie- & message system and radio.
* The bathrooms are equipped with a bath/shower, toilet & hairdryer. The trouser press, mini-bar, coffee- & tea facilities are on request. ‘Die Port van Cleve’ has both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Room service is possible 24 hours a day. |

"Die Port Van Cleve Hotel was absolutely IDEAL"
Die Port Van Cleve Hotel was absolutely IDEAL. Central Station, Dam Square, many tram stops, a shopping mall and grocery store were all a few minutes walk away. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The bathroom was nice but the bedroom was VERY VERY tiny.
This is quite normal for Europe but still, a little hard to deal with. The bed was not very comfortable, the mattress was quite old and worn, it seems. Still, I think it was a good value for the location and cleanliness. |

"Great location"
I stayed in this hotel in jan 2007 for three nights, you could not wish for a better location, everything is within reasonable walking distance and for those who don't like to walk there is a tram stop directly outside the hotel. my room was small but clean with tv and tea + coffee making facilities and a safe big enough for a laptop. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. I did not eat in the restaurant as their is plenty of choice in amsterdam, the bar is expensive but a pleasant enough place to meet up or finnish the night. The staff were friendly and helpfull, I would stay here again.

"Great Location"
We booked this hotel per the reccomendation of a friend. Hotel has an excellent location. 10 minute fast walk from Central Station. Also, the KLM (Conexion) Airport bus stops here. Note: you must book your bus ride to the airport 2 hrs in advance and can buy tickets at the Lobby desk (12 euro). No need to use the trams, one can walk everywhere. Hint; when you exit the hotel, turn right and there is a full service supermarket one block up. You can also buy stamps at the service desk there for any postcards you may want to send to family or friends. Room and bathroom were clean, basic and no complaints. Ordered 2 hamburgers late one night after partying and they were awful. Avoid room service! Would consider staying here again but no air conditioning in summer!
