"Wonderful!!!"
First of all, I'd like to say that we stayed at Paradise Pier for our Honeymoon. We were there from July 16 to the 22nd and couldn't have been happier with our accomidations. As soon as we got there we got an immediate room upgrade to a grand view of the parks which was NOT expected considering the busy time of year we went. The hotel staff was very friendly an incredibly helpful with tips on what to do before we could get into our room. (Arrived at 11am, room is ready at 3pm) We thought that might be a little inconvinient but were surprised at how much there is to see in Downtown Disney. It took about 5 minutes to get to the restraunts from the hotel by way of the Grand Californian Hotel. Maybe 10 to get into the parks because of security and the lines at the gate.
We also didn't notice a problem with the elevators like I'd read in earlier reviews. Sure, if all you want to do is go up and down, it takes a while. But to get in and out of the hotel, it didn't take long at all. Not to mention that to avoid the stampeding crowds after the parks close, just wonder around Downtown Disney and you're easily occupied for a little bit.
During our stay there was a heat wave that for some was unbearable. The temperature in the hotel itself was kept warm to conserve energy, but our room was always kept very cold when we came back from the parks which was definitley a perk. All in all, I have to say that the hotel was in wonderful condition and very clean, the bathrooms were especially large! We didn't notice any noise next door besides the occasional hum of the coasters outside the hotel. And yes, we have excellent hearing. So if your wanting the Disney experience at a moderate price this is definitley the place to be. We're planning to stay there again soon!

"Will stay there again"
We stayed in Disney Paradise Pier between Sept 3-6. We booked two regular rooms via Disneyland.com. We were asked for two connecting rooms. To our surprise, they upgraded us to a two bedrooms suite with DCA view up on 14th floor.
The room is large and very clean. The overall experience had been excellent. We like to short walk to the two parks. We will absolutely stay there again!
