"Terrific Service, good location, lovely staff" Great Hotel. We arrived by taxi from the airport and on arrival were greeted by the staff who were friendly, helpful even noticed that my friend and I had come the weekend inbetween our birthdays, so asked if we were there to celebrate. On arrival at our room (he upgraded us to a suite) we were phoned to say they were sending up a birthday cake - such a lovely touch. The room was adequate in size, molten brown products in the bathroom, and robes and slippers provided. It is in quite a busy area of Athens, but the traffic noise was not enough to interrupt sleep. Browns bar serves some lovely cocktails, the only criticism I would have was that the breakfast was not that great. Staff were often unsmiling which was a stark contrast to the desk staff who happily reccomended restaurants, called us taxis and ensured that on our night of arrival we didn't go into the city centre as there were demonstrations and it wasn't safe. I really couldn't fault the hotel at all.

"nearly excellent." it is what you need not more not less from a 5 star hotel. we stayed there during a medical conference. we have stayed also in the past. the hotel overall is nearly excellent. check-in quick and proffesional, bell boy friendly and very helpful. our room peaceful and very relaxing with beautiful furnitures. bathroom and amenities plenty. turn down service fantastic. roof top swimming pool is an oasis. breakfast is superb and brown's restaurant exquisit. generally it is a hotel you can trust for good night's sleep, excellent service and very tasty food. location very convinient.

"Delightful Hotel" We stayed at the Divani Caravel for 4 nights. The room was clean and well kept. The pool is now covered and we used it often. The staff was professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was a short walk or cab ride to any place we wanted to go in Athens.

"Great experience" Have just spent 3 days at this lovely hotel between tours in Europe. Service was excellent: the desk staff helpful and friendly, breakfast service wonderfully efficient under the watchful eye of a first-rate maitre d'. Beds were comfortable, bathroom facilities spacious by what we'd seen in Europe. More central Athens areas are easily accessible ny using the hotel Shuttle service, or nearby buses. All in all, a most pleasurable experience.

"Good Experience at the Divani caravel" Recently stayed at the Divani caravel in Athens on business for 3 nights. Location is central and convenient. Room was especially nice (OK , it was a suite) with some small artistic touches giving it a nicer feel than just a normal hotel room. TV was a Philips (both of them) although I do agree with another reviewer regarding the limited no. of english speaking channels (Only CNN & Eurosport for the anglophiles i'm afraid). Breakfast buffet was fresh with a huge variety and staff were pleasant and helpful. Soundproofing was fine and I could even open the windows for some fresh air (don't u hate it when hotel windows are sealed shut...). Only downside worth mentioning was some renovations in the front entrance which made getting in and out of the lobby inconvenient. I paid 130 Euro per night (corporate rate) .

: "thank you caravel for a wonderful stay!" I stayed ther with my wife few months ago during a business trip in athens. the good price that they gave us was the motive (130 euros per night) of staying there and we didnt regret it at all. the service was excellent, and the room( we had a room with a view on the 6th floor) was wonderful, large and classy. the facilities of the room were plenty. the bussiness facilities of the hotel are the best. i had a slight problem and the hotel stuff gave me at a glance the solution. the roof top pool was wonderful with great views of the city and a nice place to relax. despite of other hotels in athens, this hotel permits only hotel guests to use the pool and the gym. this gives you more privacy. the restaurant was excellent in great ambience. the location of the hotel is very convinient-close to many atractions. iat first i didn't expect to be so good but i was amazed by how this hotel was almost perfect to what i wanted. most definetely i would go back again.
