"Great location, beautiful views, great drinks"
We stayed at the Divi All Inclusive Aug. 2005 and really enjoyed it. I think the value was great for the price. I loved the fact that the hotel was away from the high-rise area of the island. Our room was very nice and clean. We had a huge balcony. The building that our room was in is right on the beach so in the morning you can just walk down the steps and right onto the beach. You should get up on the early side if you prefer a tiki hut.
The buffet was good, not great. Some iguanas and birds hang close for crumbs which might annoy some people. The restaurants had surprisingly good food. We enjoyed all of them. At the Palm Grill you can cook your own food in the middle of the table which is interesting. The bar tenders are great...very friendly and they definitely don't skimp on the booze! We had a lot of fun hanging out at the bars. One of our favorite things was the snack bar. The pizza was delicious and made in a stone oven. The sandwiches were equally delicious and the snack bar stays open really late...perfect for the night owls.
We enjoyed Aruba for the relaxation on the resort, but the island is definitely not for those who want to go out and explore. Safety isn't the issue, it's just a dry, desert-like island. The only attractions to see (1) WAS the Natural Bridge, but that fell, and (2) Baby Beach. It's GREAT for snorkeling...tons of fish. It's a very unique beach the way the rocks naturally form a shallow inlet.
Carlos & Charlies was wild and fun. On one side of the main road in the little shopping area is a pretty outdoor mall, but the opposite side is run-down booths with cheap odd and ends.
All in all, Aruba has beautiful beaches, great weather and we were very happy at the Divi All Inclusive.

"The most wonderful beach"
We had a great week at the Divi. The beach is definitely the most beautiful in Aruba. It was uncrowded and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and far nicer than the staff we encountered at the last all inclusive that we stayed at in the Dominican Republic. In fact everyone that we encountered in Aruba was friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was fine. The air conditioning worked really well. Our room was garden view, but we still had a view of the ocean from the side. It was also thankfully quiet and we never heard the neighbors at all. The food was only average, but we could always find something to eat. The food at the Red Parrot was ok, but the Italian restaurant at the Tamarijn was awful. There is very little entertainment at night which suited us as we are laid back and happy to sit at the bar and listen to some music( although if I hear Margaritaville one more time I will scream) and the pools are small. My only real complaint were the flies in the restaurant and perhaps if they enclosed it somehow this problem would improve. There were a lot of honeymooners and even a couple of weddings. It was cute being on the beach at sunset and watching a wedding - the groom sweating in a tux in the 95 degree weather. We would definitely stay at the Divi again because of the beach, but if you are looking for an all inclusive with all the bells and whistles this isnt it.

"Wonderful trip!"
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Divi. Our room overlooked the verenda pool and the ocean. The room was nice, nothing too special, but roomy, cute and clean. The beach is gorgeous and the pools are both very nice. The food was very good at all the restaraunts. There was definitly a good selection. A warning about the Palm Grill at the neighboring Tamarjin, it gets hot! Dress very cool because you will be cooking right on your table. But it was a lot of fun and definitly worth it. The Red Parrot was my favorite dinner, and my husband loved dinner at Paparazzi. The dinner buffet was surprisingly good, with a lot of selection. Drinks were great, and they even have daily specials for those who are a little indecisive like myself. Make a point of taking a pizza or sandwich back to your room after a night of drinking, it is well worth it.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Divi. We spent long days on the beach followed by afternoons by the pool. There is an abundance of sun, but also plenty of room under an umbrella if you need a little shade.
We would definitly recomend the Divi.

"Great place to honeymoon!!!"
The Divi was such a wonderful place to go for our honeymoon! We loved our whole experience at the Divi All-Inclusive. After reading plenty of reviews on this website I wanted to add my info as well... my husband and I actually liked the buffet food more than the food at all the different resturants at the Tam or Divi. We really enjoyed the beach and the drinks! This place is a great location for honeymooners, we met people from all over and there were not many kids which is especially nice b/c you don't have to deal with screaming kids while you eat. All of the iguanas were so funny - b/c they were everywhere!!! so if you don't like wildlife I would be wary... there are birds everywhere (even at the buffet but that didn't bother us - but i could see how some people would not like that...) the birds would go and eat off your plate if you left your table alone for more than a minute.
I do recommend renting your own jeep and exploring the island by yourselves - that is if you are up for it. The island if beautiful - just like I had pictured it. and try and go see the caves! I can't wait to go back!
