Domaine Des Ormes Hotel is situated on the Ormes Golf course, half way between the historic towns of Dol, Combourg, Dinan and Saint Malo, 28 kilometers from Mont Saint Michel.

Sixteenth century chateau, Domaine Des Ormes Hotel has rooms that have antique-style furniture and bright fabrics.

The 18 hole golf course is set in the chateau�s manicured grounds; guests can also watch or play cricket.

LOCATION

Domaine Des Ormes Hotel is set in 200 hectares of lush green land, 20 kilometers from Saint-Malo and Le Mont St-Michel.

Dol de Bretagne is the first town of note when travelling from Normandy and is a good base for exploring the countryside, forest and historic towns nearby. St Samson cathedral is a bit of a hotch-potch of styles externally but inside it is simple harmony with superb 13th century stained glass in the choir. Grande Rue and Rue Lejamptel form the heart of the town with some fine medieval houses.

A short walk along the Promenade des Douves gives good views over the Dol marshes. Towards Vivier sur Mer. Le Mont Dol is a dome like lump of granite which rises out of the marshland to 65 metres. It was an ancient Druid ritual site but its summit is now popular for picnics.

The old walled town of St Malo is one of the country's great attractions. The rampart walls conceal a charming town known for good restaurants and pavement caf�s.

In Rennes, Brittany's parliament house has reopened its doors a sign of the renewed interest in the history of Brittany, Breton culture and language.

See the dramatic ramparts and colourful pavement caf�s in St Malo. The regional capital, Rennes has an elegant old quarter with a huge Saturday market. There are superb oysters from Cancale and excellent golf in Dinard.
