Dombas Hotel is one of the nicest hotels in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, situated centrally, a mere 100 meters from the E6, as has been open for business since 1917.

As the guest you can use the tanningbeds, sauna and swimmingpool. In the lounges you can relax with a glass and a good book, you can get something to drink in one of the two bars, or perhaps you would like to take a walk in beautiful surroundings.

The kitchen is among the best in Gudbrandsdalen, and focused highly on maintaining a high standard. Dombas og Dovre has many sights for you to see. A magnificent part of Norway, well known for its wildlife and its mountains. Main attractions are the mountain Sna�hetta and the musk ox.

At Dovregubbens Rike Trollpark, they have recreated the trolls and brought them to life, giving you the opportunity to experience the story of the trolls at first hand. Here you will also meet the Mountain King himself, who will take you on a journey "from fairytale to reality" through his own kingdom. Trollparken opened in Dombas center the 20th of may in 1996.

Far to the North where the winter storms whip the weather-beaten coasts, you will find a long and narrow country. Here you see dark forrests with moonlit lakes, deep fjords surronded by mighty snowcapped mountains, and long rivers and cools streams cascading down the mountainsides

Nowadays this country is covered by snow and ice only six mounth a year. A long, long time ago, however, there exsisted a massive glacier that brooded over the entire country for thousands of years.

As the climate gradually warmed and the glacier slowly retreated to the north, Man to the south of the Glacier followed in its wake. Looking at this country and finding it to be magnificent, they considered themselves called 'nordmenn' (Men of the North).

It did not take them long, however, to realize that on this land there were various other creatures hiding out in the forests and mountain sides. People did not know what there creatures were, but they generally belived to have supernatural powers, and they came to be known as trolls.
