"Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur is in a great spot "
Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur is in a great spot in the Golden Triangle and only a 5 minute walk to the main drag (Bukit Bintang) which has a great variety of westernised shopping malls and restaurants, but also traditional food stores and shops.
The furniture and walls are a bit old and could do with a makeover, but the rooms were cleaned well, sheets/pillows and towels were clean and fresh.
Good view to the Petronas towers from our side of the hotel (facing west). The hotel food was tasty (getting used to no pork products was weird however) and the breakfast was nice, not a lot of choice though. We had the beef burgers for dinner one night and were pleasantly surprised. The pool area looked a little small, but we were out most of the time searching through the city to care too much.

"perfectly adequate for what we wanted"
Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur staff friendly and courteous, the room was clean and perfectly adequate for what we wanted. Location is good - walking distance to bukit bingtan and monorail. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat in the hotel, but would definately stay here again when in K.L.

"Great service"
The hotel was great value for its price.. Its fuss-free.. but the service is good n prompt, the rooms are very clean.. the twin beds were queen size! they were prompt when we needed an extra cot. Breakfast was only so-so, n the spa is quite crap.. but if you just need a good clean place to stay, this is perfect. V near to bukit bintang, but not crowded or noisy, will definitely stay again.

"fantastic location"
I checked in with my family, was recieved very well, the only problem i faced was that they did not send my bags up quickly,as i had arrived in the afternoon and i wanted to have a shower,i had to call the reception twice before my bags could come up.Rooms are very neat and clean, again the walls are pretty thin ,so if somebody is loud next door you could hear them out.The breakfast was nothing great too, they had the same old stuff everyday, the hotel is situated within walking distance to the bukit bintang area,so all the shooping malls are pretty close to walking distance.

"Would Recommend"
My mum and I stayed at the Dorsett rececently for 6 nights. We found our room to be great, very clean with 2 huge beds and a medium sized bathroom. We had no complaints about the room.
The lobby is quite small, but still its big enough. We didnt really like the fact that after a certain time at night you cannot sit in the Windows Cafe (which is the only place to sit in the lobby) without buying something, no free sitting they call it, plus drinks there arent that cheap.
We weren't too thrilled about the breakfasts there, for one the restaurant is not big enough for the size of the hotel. People had to wait around to be seated and one morning we were asked if we would like to share our table to which we said no. They did have a big variety but we didnt think the food was very nice. But they did have a high expectation to live up to considering we had just spent 5 nights in Penang where they had the best food every morning. The toast machines didnt even toast the bread at Dorsett and they were constantly running out of things be it the butter, tea, juice or cups. So yeah it wasnt that great but it beats the hassle of finding somewhere to eat each morning. We did have dinner at the Checkers restaurant one night and i had a great meal!
Staff at the front desk werent overly friendly but the guys who greet you at the door and work at the concierge were all great. They were very friendly and made every effort to chat to us. They are a big asset to the hotel. They were very prompt in taking our cases to our room, and when we rang to ask them to bring them back down, as soon as he answered the phone he said "you need your luggage brought down" we didnt even have to say anything and he knew exactly what time our flight was.
All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel to those who want a nice clean, reasonably priced hotel. We cant wait to come back and stay again!
