"Great experience" This was my first stay at this property. I think it was intimate and user-friendly. The room was immaculate, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom amenities. There is a smally gym and free computer access in well-stocked business center. Front desk staff were very pleasant and attentive. Location was excellent for North county access and free parking.

"Great Priceline Stay!" I was happy to get this win on Priceline, as I had heard good things about the Del Mar Doubletree from past reviews both here and on other websites. I wasn't disappointed. As stated, it was a Priceline win, so I was a bit concerned that we might be treated differently and initially, I thought we were going to be. I had requested two queen size beds before our arrival and was told that I would have to see what was available upon check-in. When we checked in i made the request again but was told that there was only a queen bed and a pull-out couch available to accommodate us. I didn't press the issue and we finished the rest of our check-in and went up to our room. We were also given hot chocolate chip cookies upon check-in. Once upstairs, we found that we had a very small room, but I thought "no big deal for the price we paid". Within 10 minutes the phone rang and it was the front desk. They had located a room with 2 queens and were sending new keys up to us!! Make sure to view the pictures of our new room AND the view of the pool we got! We were elated. The second room was very roomy. We paid to use an internet connection in our room. There was no wireless, but that was okay. The kids enjoyed the pool and there were lots of fresh towels poolside. The desk sent up more fresh towels very quickly when asked. The staff were great the whole time. There were no extra fees on checkout. Room service was quite pricy. We ordered 3 orange juices and 3 bagels and it came to $30. We didn't eat in the restaurant. The location was great. Just down the interstate from SeaWorld. There is a nice strip-mall just north on El Camino that has an IHOP and lots of other stores/restaurants. The bed was quite literally the best I've ever slept on in my life. I can't stop raving about how wonderful they felt! The bedding was gorgeous. I would not hesitate staying in a Doubletree again.

"Great location" We decided to stay here, just outside San Diego, as we weren't sure about getting about in the city or parking. It took about 25 minutes to get into the city centre, even at peak times, and is only 20 minutes from Seaworld. Location is just off the freeway, so it was ideal for getting around, whether we wanted to go to local beaches, shopping, or into San Diego. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious and comfortable. Pool was lovely, with plenty of clean towels poolside. We didn't eat in the hotel, as the cost of two coffees and two beers suggested we could get better value elsewhere, but would happily stay at this hotel if and when we visit San Diego again. The one thing we would have liked was a small fridge in the room.
